I don't get it. The pass was far from the worst thing ever., block pass for the win. Eli barely even lost his footing, just dropped the bike and almost stayed on his feet.

Someone should ask Tomac to autograph a tissue this weekend.

I stand with the Frenchman. Good show. Eli should try harder next time instead of coasting into the final corner like that and leaving a wide-open line. When Zach did it for a championship it's celebrated, but when the Frenchman does it... WWIII.

Exactly!!! Spot ON!!! Eli just made himself look like a total ass hat in front of everyone...and on top of all his contradictions, HE brings up the fact that he’s in a shitty spot in the points standings like last year. Whose fault is that ??

If Eli had entered the turn where Marvin did, there would have been no way for Marvin to cut inside of him.

Probably no way for him to jump out of that section either...

Wouldn’t have mattered. Guys were rolling that first jump and then doubling before the triple all night. It wouldn’t have cost him much time at all, if any. He went wide then cut down hard. Musquin was going in there to block him and since he turned down hard, there was a big collision.

Tomac’s pass a half a lap prior would have been considered “dirty” also if Musquin hadn’t laid up. Gotta have awareness.

Well i hope Eli understands that he would have lost the title either way, that result did not impact the final standings.

And Kawasaki would have done the same thing 10 out of 10 times.

This is getting embarrassing, Eli.

I see 3 answers. Nothing free.

Webb ? ridiculous and dangerous crossing jump, good to see Eli try to take him out same for Deano.

Against Dungey, Eli had to play with his cards, he was soft in my opinion, in his place, I'll have T-Boon Dungey.

Regarding Marvin, he had nothing to lose or gain. Like Jason said : "Shit happens"

I wonder if this is the first time we've actually seen what Eli thinks and feels about the last two years. He has been hands down the fastest SX rider the last two years but he has zero titles.

It has to be very frustrating and that move from Marvin (again, nothing wrong with it) blew Tomacs lid wide open and everything poured out.

Soooo if he torpedos Marvin this week into the cheap seats what will be the response from the Vitards? Eli being petty? Poor Marv? Jesus christ.

Kinda funny when Alessi did it to Tickle he was a POS by everyone here. When Reed did it to Stew in Atlanta very similar he was a hero. Stew had it coming. Some of the responses here are just gold. Pure gold.

I see both sides of Eli and Marv, like Eli said you cant get any lower expecting to make the turn and do the section after, Marv went for the W, I get it. Either way I think it will be intereting carrying into the outdoors.

Eli Tomac and Malcolm are the only reasons I'm watching SX this season has just been boring ASF..KR,JB, got hurt and Baggett is just riding around it seems Malcolm is building and Webb is just a head case I guess! Tickel wasn't doing much before the drug thing!

The only reason I'm going to watch is to see if Eli knocks Marv's dick in the dirt. Now he knows who he's dealing with so no reason to hold back. It will be magical...

Vital Eli Tomac super fans: "Marvin isn't perfectly parallel with a formed rut while making a pass, I hope Eli murders him!"

Laughing

FACT: When protecting a lead properly, there is a big difference between ENTERING a corner on the inside to protect it versus cutting down in the turn and exiting inside. The latter can result in someone making contact with you, then you go down and then you whine about it.

They both get bonus' for wins but Marvin is still mathematically in the title hunt. Tomac is not. If you want a championship you do anything within your power to give yourself the best odds possible. Tomac is lacking in that area the past couple of seasons.

Marv clearly regretted how he got the win due to the boo'ing he got and tried to back peddle. "I didn't know he would cut down" GTFO.. U cut across the corner. We all know what that means. That didn't work then he changed tune and said well it was for a win..

IMO. It was a pass for the win after intense cat and mouse. No harm done. Where it went to a shit show was flip flopping and not owning it. He would have been better off if he said. It's racing I was going for the win deal with it. And his saying well it's happened to me this year from Anderson and .... Again who gives a crap dude. Claim it.. like Anderson said. Shit happens it's racing.

Also Eli should quit crying and own this too. A simple see you next week with a wink would mean a lot more than whining about it. Then next week go out and make Feld remember why they installed those nets..

Man, that post race press conference was hard to watch. Eli is blaming everyone for things that happen to him even though it's his own fault he hasn't won a title yet. I always like to compare Eli and Jeffrey Herlings because I honestly believe they are the two fastest guys in the world when they're on. Personality wise, they're nothing alike. Eli complaines and blames everyone else. You'd never hear Jeffrey do that. He might get pissed at someone but he's not going to sit there and act like a child during a prees conference and on Twitter. .

Jeez...can't believe this is still such a big deal. I mean..6-pages? The pass isn't even on the top-100 dirty pass list since I've been a fan of the sport. Eli left himself open on the last lap, and Musquin took the line away from him...brutally or not, it was for the win in a professional sport, and probably $100,000 or so in bonus money from KTM. Anybody on the starting line would have done the same thing...or has done it in the past, including Eli.

STFU, Eli.

My only issue with it is Marvin not owning it. He went for a very aggressive pass and shouldn't act like it was an accident.
