And him switching bikes most likely wont change his results very much. Hes a great small bike rider. There have been a lot of guys like that. He just might not excel on the big bikes. I hope he figures it out soon because we need more guys in the mix.

He'll get a factory ride when his Yamaha contract is up. Teams will look at his resume and say, "Yamaha couldn't make it work for him, but our bike and team will bring him to the next level." Happens all the time.

It’s not about switching bikes as much a small it is switching his thinking, which I mean he could do now, but sometimes that’s what it takes. That or pull a Bogle and move halfway across the country with a different program and a camping chair in an apartment.

It’s easier to count the “sure things” on 250’s who get schooled on the 450’s than the other way around.

To finish behind mookie last night?

Yup, that must have raised the blood pressure of more than a few Yamaha staffers last night.

Hope that kid knows just how ugly life is about to get if he keeps riding like this.......

Its only 2 races in people. By the end ofcthe year he will be a consistent 6-9 switch teams and. Hopefully gets better. Its no secret he doesnt like the yz450. I say ktm should grab him and throw his ass on a red bull 350 and let him grow from there

That's funny...I remember reading where someone posted that Peick was worth every penny they were paying Barcia at the time.

Ooooohh. I kind of the like the 350 idea. It’s come a long way since Alessi rode it outdoors. I think it could be a valid option for guys who can’t adapt to the 450.

If believe Cairolli rode a 350 in GPs with good results. I could see it as a viable option for Webb and other guys struggling to make the transition to 450's, as a matter of fact I wish they would change the displacements for everyone to 250 or 350s and have the support class back on 125 smokers. oh well, wishful thinking

Don't you guys go posting any actual facts.... He was riding aggressive. He was down damn near a half lap by the time he got back on his bike. He had some kick ass laps before catching the pack.

Tomac needs surgery for a bruise.
Marvin has to be cleared by the Vital docs before lining up again.
Webb needs humbled, he's never proven anything, doesn't deserve the 2, the train has derailed, friend and girl problems.

Some of you need to get off the couch and go to the races before condemning these riders.

The answer is simple. Webb don’t want none.

I dont get why he has the #2. That was a weird move for someone that hasnt done jack in the 450s. I feel like that alone put huge expectations before his leg ever went over the bike.

Yeah, Villopoto, Dungey, Tomac, Baggett, and Martin also should have been prevented from getting their permanent numbers. /s

It's just a stupid fucking system. Run the number you earned the year before in the class you're in. No career numbers.

Everyone is forgetting that he also put in a shit effort in the nationals. It's bad he's on a good contract and not really performing, but he also threw Yamaha under the bus last year. Riders that bite the hand that feeds them, yet turn out to be shit really piss me off. Ungrateful kid really.

Yeah he started dead last, but if his credentials still matter, then he should have been able to ride well into the top 10. Dungey was able to ride to like 4th last year and Dungey is not necessarily known for his raw speed.

Yeah i agree with you. Look at the riders behind him. He should be able to finish in front of those guys even if he has a first turn crash.

Exactly. On the paper it is not great but he rode much better than at A1. I don't see him winning but he will get in the mix around the top 5-7 soon.

I bet most of the haters are still pining for JS7 to return!

To be a half a lap down and make it back to 12th was pretty damn impressive to me, add a broken clutch lever and its really impressive... Don't count Coop out yet!

i know people are defending him but.

He´s on a factory team, second year of training, this year he came really prepared and swinging ar roczen, "new bike, new year, new me" or something like that he said, a lot of hype on how he was fastest on the stock 18 bike than his 17 factory etc etc etc.

I dont care what you are saying, he´s on factory yamaha, he is expeccted to, at least get a top 10 place, and that´s on a shit day, he gets payed a shitload of money, even tickle is doing better and he´s slow, jmart has whooped his ass aswell not to count Mookie, wich has had around 3 practices on the jgr zook.

The 350 is dead in AMA/GP professional racing. AC made a comment that he only rode the 350 because he didn't think the 450 was as good at the time. Alessi racing it was a horrible descion back in the day.

That boat of a bike has won a world title, swept the MxDN in 15 including a 1-2 in one of the motos also won nationals in 15 and more GPs in 16 and that was the older "bigger bike". The best rides of Webbs 450 career were on the bigger 450 in 15 as a part time 250 rider. The post 2014 Yamahas are fine, everyone still blames the bike cause of how shitty it was in 10 thru 13. If the exuse is out there the riders are gonna take it because it's never there fault. It's always something else. Webb is underperforming for the lofty expections placed on him by some. I personally have never thought of Webb on a Roczen/Tomac/Dungey level of talent as so many others have and he is way behind now.

Wow... this is just like watching people discuss politics, I guess.

Webb was faster than Stewart 15 to 6 of the timed 21 laps they raced together, broken clutch and all, if his Instagram comment is true.

If they would've start together Webb looks like he would've been 14-15 seconds ahead of Stewart and right in line with the other top 10 racers with contract rides with established teams, but Webb gets taken out on the start, moves from 22nd to 12th, gets a fastest lap 1.1 seconds faster than Malcolm, who started and 11th and finishes 11th... and Webb is a POS racer now and Malcolm deserve someone's ride? Like I said, wow...
