Zach was on probation for taking AC out earlier in the season in practice, and causes a injury.
Does the same thing to Savatgy in Vegas, gets fined.... doesn't that go against his probation..?

Because the AMA was watching Osborne come through the pack like a wild man. Then they see that badass pass on Sa-VAG-ee and knew it was clean but fined him to shut the PC guys up.

Osborne IS the champ! No Penalty could ever take away what I witnessed from Vegas. It's just that simple.

RC was caught will illegal fuel and not punished any points. Does that answer your question ?

Osborne is the Champion because he won.
AC isn't the Champion because he lost.

You're welcome. Glad to clear that up for you.

Zachs move on AC that incurred the probation wasnt even bad. He barely even penetrated AC's safe space.

His probation was a joke and his fine was a joke. They (AMA) really need to get their act together. This sport is becoming pussified so fast.

RC's crew used a steel can with leaded joints and the fuel test came back positive for lead. 4 strokes don't benefit much from lead, two strokes do though. 4 strokes will benefit more from highly oxygenated fuel, which he was clear from.

Not one bit! It just keeps eroding away at the integrity of the sport when you enforce the rules or a probation selectively. The championship is starting resemble more of a WWF staged show than a real championship series. All they need to do is implement a chase format and it will be a wonderful mix of WWF and three ring circus. This kind of crap is why I stopped watching NASCAR and now its happening to MOTO.

You sound like his attorney. It was stupid to use a steel can anways and rules are rules. RC cried and threatened to quit the series so AMA rolled of as usual. My favorite was when Villo was allowed to take his penalty on the fly during a staggered restart. what a joke that was.

Whelp, in hind site the move he put on AC in practice at Indy won Zach the title, because of AC's performance that night of only a 5th when he was riding a high from Daytona and should have been a podium threat, those 2-4 points became huge. lol Laughing

That's why they run all the races though.Laughing

This is some very deep stuff to contemplate. However, my first impression about the matter is that the "snowflake" is both ignorant and apathetic. Yet there it is......... or was. Let em melt!

You know what, Osborne said "It was for the championship", what would you do? He took a gamble, period, and it paid off. Was it an a--hole move? It doesn't matter. He got the championship and Savatgy didn't.

On the other side, Tomac was nice and didn't get it. Who wanted it more, and who got it?

I wonder what today's officials would do/say if they were at Saddleback watching Howerton and Hannah go at it? They'd probably have a coronary LOL

To me whole thing is a non-issue. You have two multi-time ex champions stating right on TV that they would have done the same thing, then even Savatgy said he would have done it himself if the tables were turned. It's professional level racing with millions of dollars at stake. They do what it takes to win, because really that's what matters.

As a fan of SX who sells Kawasaki for a living, I'm fine with the pass, pissed that he was fined, and don't think AC, or Savatgy for that matter, deserves the title this year.

Sure, it would be great to be able to talk about the KX250F taking home all the hardware for the 2017 SX season as a selling point. But Zacho made a move that any racer would make if put in he same position.

I was pulling for the PC lads, but that was fair play by ZO after a ride for the ages.

TV did no justice for how much Osborne did to win the championship! He had several absolutely amazing saves... one in the rhythm section that was unreal right in front of us. That ride is what makes this sport great. He rode to win... Savatgy rode to not lose. OP hate the ending all you want but the right guy took the ship for sure! Perfect pass, I can't believe they fined him.

Post a reply to: If Osborne was already on probation, then gets fined how is it AC isn't the Champ?
