JustPuttinAround Started a new thread Alta demos at Glen Helen
3/27/2018 11:12am Alta was out in full force at Glen Helen this past weekend for the Trans Am Vet Classic. They were there all day Saturday and Sunday with 4-5 of their bikes on hand and were giving demo rides to anybody who had a helmet and would sign a waiver. I was pitted nearby and saw, literally, hundreds of people getting...

JustPuttinAround Added a reply to Alta demos at Glen Helen
3/27/2018 8:25am Basically, I was amazed at "normal" it--an electric motorcycle--felt to ride. Normal in the sense of within a minute or two I was comfortable hitting small jumps, mildly charging corners, and sorta skimming rollers. Twist the throttle and it goes forward like every other motorcycle I've ever ridden...just sounds like a giant RC car... One thing that stood out to...

3/5/2018 9:32pm Ur bike is scary--a death trap fur sure...but this dude's tryna rip you off!! Maybe I can help ya out.... I'd be willing to take it off your hands and trade you straight across for my sweet '94 RM 125. It ran super great when I put it away 11 years ago, and every single part on the inside that...
JustPuttinAround Added a reply to What does FIM do for us here in the US?
3/5/2018 9:09pm FIM?? They do nothing for "us." The Philadelphia Eagles are the de facto World Champions. The Houston Astros are the de facto World Champions. The Golden State Warriors are the de facto World Champions. Naturally, it follows that The American Motorcyclist Association's Supercross Champion would be the de facto World Champion. Anyway "they" can keep throwing FIM in there if...

2/18/2018 9:08pm Big fan.... "the turn coming down the start straight!!" --Fro describing where the crash at the beginning of last night's 250 Main Event happened...I followed right along and knew exactly where he was referring to.

9/13/2017 8:38pm A "self-identifying" dude dominating the women's classes.... There is a lucrative career out there for the right guy....
JustPuttinAround Added a reply to MXA
9/13/2017 8:07pm MXA just needs to start putting posters with bikini models in the magazine and feature the same on their website. Also, bicycle content in both places might be a good idea. And random truck "reviews" once in a while.

8/5/2017 5:55pm I would consider any rider that won A/B classes at both LL and Mammoth this year...Cooper comes to mind first.
JustPuttinAround Added a reply to Mike Brown getting heat over LL?
8/5/2017 5:12pm Those guys ought to shut up. In many local races, you can drop a class with a drop in age. i.e. a 40A racer could race in 30B.... Following that logic, Brownie could be racing 450C...
