Its called having the points lead for the first time in your 450 SX career. Tomac won 9 races when he was behind or equal in points when he has sole possession of the red plate he has his second worst race of the season?

Juliana appeared to have her stock tits back.

Not that that is a bad thing. Anyone have a screen shot of the main?

To me it looked like Tomac was over riding the track and that was causing him to over jump sections, which threw his rhythm off in the following sections. You couldn't over ride that track, it would bite you.

I agree and sometimes its better to be behind ,and also Dungey is doing what he does best. Wink rock solid.

Bottom line is that ET's chassis was not properly set up for the weight of that solo red plate. Between that and the mounting pressure of him possibly winning the title, he caved. I wish he would've made it to next week closer in points, but anything can still happen, it is racing and we have an wntire round before this is over. Anyone who thinks Dungey is just consistent and not fast, or if you somehow think that trait is negative, you are a bit off. Here's to a good race next week. Relax people and maybe think for just a second before typing ridiculous shit?!

Did it?
I agree that Bob's opinion did not change anything as far as team policies in the future. There is still one more round and anything can happen. Good luck to Ryan Dungey and Eli Tomac in Vegas. I hope we all get to see some close and exciting racing for the SX Championship next weekend.

Bike wasn't set up for the extra weight of that red plate, hence the front end tuck...true story

Hannah liked LaPorte, and could barely tolerate Glover. Team orders pulled the championship out of his friend's hands. Very different situation than Dungey and Musquin, from and relationship and points perspective.

It's almost like he's too intense for his own good. If it obvious to all of us watching he didn't look comfortable he needs to know to keep it at 95% for this race and be alive in Vegas.

Either way I'm exciting to watch him gap everyone by 1 minute + outdoors

Reverse altitude sickness?.....perhaps Eli was prepared to race @ only 1,800 ft elevation....

From my view... The track was crap with no really long sections which effected every rider out there. No way to make up lost ground on a very short start and a very tight short course lay out. It did not allow for a fair race for any one.

That was really strange!
Frantic rushing? Nope. Sense of urgency? Nope. Any indication the Championship was slipping away? Nope.

So please enlighten us on how it wasn't fair? Did they let Dungey skip a section or did everyone race the same track as everyone else?

Is it the tracks fault that Tomac was totally out of control in his heat race and buried the front end in the main? Is it the tracks fault Tomac couldn't get past Grant who, for a time, was clearly slowing up for him?

Good grief, this place never ceases to amaze.

Top five were all steel frame bikes, curious to know if chassis had any role in tonight's race with track conditions
I thought that steel frame bikes were better for hardpack and worse for rutted tracks? That was one reason why "they" said Dungey would have an advantage at Vegas. More flex = better traction. Am I wrong?

Possible injury? This is the first I'm hearing of it. Care to enlighten me/us?

Not having electric start most likely cost him the championship.
Agreed. That's what I said at the moment he got his bike upright.

The track was the same for everybody,Weather or not it sucked is debatable. It was not the type of track one could ride balls out in the attack mode,It did not suit Eli's style all that well.Combine that and a heavy number plate, its understandable why Eli had a tough night .

Dungey just breaks guys, He won't always win, but he pressures them till they break, Villopoto, Roczen, Tomac, all broke themselves to try to run in front of Dungey, Villopoto was the only one to figure out how to do it consistently, and it burned him out.

When has Tomac ever been a technical track guy? Don't get me wrong, he can ride like no other in an environment that allows it that back end steering but he's never been a finesse type of guy.

Just a bit of speculation as to why there was no urgency or any sort of speed when Tomac tried to get up and get back going. It was like he tipped over on his Sunday trail ride.

Here's why he couldn't pick the bike back up quickly. Didn't you hear the GOAT talk about how heavy those red plates are?

Tomac was probably feeling some pressure during the week come Practice and qualifying he wasnt feeling it that probably played on his mind and started doubting himself.

The pressure probably got to him all night he was probably panicking during the race stop breathing properly got stiff and got some arm pump, maybe thats why he took a while to get up he looked spent, when you dont ride with confidence you stop flowing and tense up.

My wild guess is that he was sick.
As so many others have stated, he never looked like he had his act together the whole day.
When he went down in the main, he looked like I feel when I am sick, and I still have something that I have to get done. Still trying, but absolutely no drive or energy.

I think this picture perfectly sums up the situation we saw. You can see his set up is way off for the extra weight...

He was moving just fine....until he wasn't! I don't believe he was sick last night.....but I believe he is this morning. It's called Dungyitis!

I wonder how many points a season guys with E-start gain, on average? Starting to think the weight more than pays off.
Estart is an advantage, the bike that have it are still lighter though.
