Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
I always thought Daytona was mx than sx....and this one looks even bigger without as many jumps.
Something new. And i think it's kind of cool. Let's not judge it until it's here.
It's all down to this bloke, and, I think he "owns" the Worlds Championships until 2026. I'd love to see investigation into his, and a few of his FIM mates, machinations by the Swiss authorities - ala the current FIFA thing. Hell, they may get around to it - the Swiss may just extend their attention to so many other organisations 'set ups' in their country. The now, seemingly, defunct MXGPActiongroup site had a fair amount of info showing what could be regarded as illegalities under Swiss law with the whole Youthstream / MX World Championships deals.
But - if the Smiths(?) are willing to pay Luongos fees, well, let them take the risk. Several posters here have said that they are the ones to really push the event, so, good luck to them. They can't get a more piss poor showing of spectators than Southern California did with the first 2 GPs, and, last years spectator turn up was no great thing. It's not like Qatar where the Sheikhs are playing / paying with their small change, with no need to make any money from the event. Let's see how this years Glen Helen goes. I'd not be surprised to see the Charlotte GP having far greater spectator numbers.
Thank SXs all pervading influence for this sort of track. It's Americas' contribution to MX - for good or bad. And promoters are after the money. MX, through SX, seems to have become an artificial jump and artificial whoop fest. As I've said elsewhere, I hope they have the sense to make it largely of sand.

These stadium tracks started in 2013 on the Lausitzring and at the time I was a fan of Daytona so I liked the idea but Assen should be enough.
I almost didn't catch that.
So many traditional tracks still part of the series like Talavera, Maggiora, Arco, St, Jean, Loket, Teutcschenthal, Lommel, Valkenswaard and Glen Helen.
Assen was a complete success I don't know why anyone would complain about it. And the reason GL is doing it in Charlotte is becuause US MX fans don't go to MXGP races in the USA at regular mx tracks, so bring it to the city and get some new fans....it's not a bad idea. Let's see if it works first before bashing.
A mix of traditional and new is fine, it's what makes the championship so diverse and the riders so versatile.
Pit Row
I absolutely agree on the "let us not make a full series of man built mx tracks", but variety is kind of cool if the track is well prepared.
Qatar, well, night race!
Thailand, tons of jumps, hot and humid as hell
Some beautiful new venues like Brazil or Argentina
Some historical sand races in Benelux
Some historical places like in Italy or Glen Helen
A couple stadiums
The 3 things I would like more is:
1. the historical tracks should be the ones with the most elevation changes, that is the roots of MX. (except the sand ones in Benelux)
2. more international riders. A japanese rider did better than usual last year, or Hsu is Thai I believe, if he gets top 5s he will have a full country behind him ! (and that is a country where they sell tons of 2 wheels). Then of course, a few Americans, the more stacked the better !
3. Somehow we need more riders... call me crazy but maybe it is time to have some rules about it, like a max number of staff at the event, limited space regarding motorhomes, a suspension & chassis production rule, and a limited number of engines per season. The teams would then transfer some money to have more riders on the grid, and the riders would get a better salary. I am not a big believer that million dollars motorhomes make the team faster or the riders life better. It would great if the privateers could still get a chance to crack some top 5 sometimes, it is a bit the "broken dreams" that would make good national riders coming back to this series.
I'm not concerned with GL's way of running things. I'm just annoyed at the lack of logic with some of the fans of this sport.
We started with someone thinking "We"...the U.S., had something to apologize for.
Joke or not...Uh, No!
This race is a GL run and Promoted race. It's built and managed his way. So, there in lies any complaint you have...call him.
Then there's this: this track ain't much different than the MMS National at Salt Lake City; yet, most Vitards had a mental-melt-down over that event.
Another thing, next time any of you want to compare our Nationals to the MXGPs, be sure to include what the riders get PAID: Namely, be sure to tell us about all the privateers competing to get their spot on the starting gate at those GPs. Please feel free to tell me what does or doesn't matter in these matters. I'll be willing to point out when you're jus' wrong. Especially when you fail to understand how much we love our...& your...privateers.
The ability to bring new facilities online that meet the infrastructure requirements is a tough hurdle.
Some of you look at the track and see Supercross. Maybe that's due to the grandstands on both sides. Beats me. But some of you also call the Monster Energy Cup Supercross, when there are clear differences.
