High-five 'fellow stutter' (? Grinning )

But i don't think Fro has the verbal skills to be a good commentator. Getting rid of Ralph would be a big+ tho.
Maybe Fro wil do a better job with another co-host? Would be awesome if he and another host would bring great fireworks to the show. Rapl is like the anti-climax at the moment. I had to mute the end of A2 450 due to that tool. Hate it when ppl ruin my entertainment.

I don't hate Fro or anything i just think his commentating (at the moment) is rather dull.

JUST GET RID OF RALPH FIRST!!! Put someone else there with Fro and see how things go.

Around 2000 when Monday Night football had Dan Fouts, Dennis Miller, and Al Michaels in the booth they had some of the worst ratings, because they "overtried". They brought a comedian in the booth who knew nothing about football to try and lighten up the mood. Dan Fouts, one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game, was made to look stupid, even though he knew exactly what was going on on the field. I guess I'm just trying to say that Ralph and Jeff (I think) are doing a pretty good job. It could be a helluva lot worse.

I bet Fro's heart rate would be really high if he read this.

How do you know he does not have the IQ? Give me a break. So you're implying that Fro didn't do it the "right" way as KW did? What does that mean? Emig would be the last person I would replace in the booth.
+1. Emig is fine, and Emig + Weege outdoors is an excellent combo.

Fro has neither the IQ nor the verbal skills to properly present our sport to the masses. Yes, he has been a little better of late, but still pretty dismal. Now that K-Dub has hung up the boots, if he so chooses, would be the perfect candidate as a replacement.

My reasons:
1. He can complete a sentence, interview, or conversation without saying "uh" or stuttering 38 times
2. He has/had an extremely technical approach to riding that I believe could bring real analysis to the broadcast
3. He is a more than worthwhile spokesman/role model for all fans, youngsters, and sponsors. He did it the right way

the casual fan does not watch super cross. prob watching honey doo doo. i like the announcers we have now. if i wanted proper english, i would watch the school channel. here in tn i can understand rc and fro is a fan who has a dream job. so dl923, give it a rest or you buy a tv station and show us how its done. i watch for the racing.

One of the best Moto fill in commentators I've ever seen is Leigh Diffey. He is super knowledgeable, and totally in tune with what was going on. Dave Burns was another one that 'got it', but NASCAR grabbed him with Jamie Little.

I like Ricky and Jeff doing the announcing. They are pretty entertaining sometimes

i like fro, ralph and RC but i think we give Fro and RC lots of respect because we are all so familiar with what they have achieved. Looking purely at how good they are at announcing, i think they are pretty bad. If your new to the sport or watching it for the first time, the announcing would come off as being pretty bad. like it or not, or whether or not you think it's mean, IMO putting Kdub and that guy announcing practice (he knows more about whats going on with the riders than fro, ralph, and RC combined) would be quite the upgrade let alone putting Weege in there who is loaded with moto knowlege.

^This.

Kevin Barnett is what a real professional announcer is supposed to sound like. Besides being articulate, dude has done his homework. He says he's only been in the sport a few years, but you would never know it.

I think some of you guys are blinded by the star power of RC and Fro's as former champions.
2 that. Maybe the problem is the script? Dunno what they are been told to say, or cover and maybe Barnett/Holley delivering to my needs is just evidence off less management?

My take on Fro? I like the guy. He's a true star or the sport, but it hasn't gone to his head. He's enjoying every minute of his time in the sport. Who can blame him for that? I had the chance to chat with him a few years ago in ATL and he treated me as an equal, like just one of the guys and that's what makes him cool, he IS just one of the guys.

Tell me this: would you rather have a smooth talking, canned voiced dude who knows little about the sport, much less the PASSION of the sport, or do you want a guy that was one of the fastest racers in the world, a guy that knows the sport and it's little idiosyncrasies, a guy that loves everything moto and a guy that is just like anyone here?

I'll take the latter.

I think Jeff does a good job, I often tune out announcers on most sports I watch, but when I do listen to Jeff I think it's good. The whole heart rate thing can get a little bit funny but it's no biggie.

Emig does a pretty good job given who he is working with. RC is pathetic and Ralph, while better than he used to be, should move on the car racing so we can get some decent people in the booth. I think Holley and Barnett would be a lot better than the people in there at the present time.

It not "OUR" sport , you are nothing more than a spectator or maybe a local weekend warrior but I doubt it. I guess that makes the NFL my sport because I played Pop Warner football.

I think both Jeffro and RC do a decent job commentating. I like what RC has to say for the most part. One thing that is scary though, and is more evident this year, is how awkward Ricky looks in front of the camera when they have the camera in the booth. Funny to watch Ricky staring aimlessly into the camera. Its like he doesnt know what to do.

What makes you think he would want a job in the booth.

IMO RC isn't working out. If he could work the booth like he worked the bike it would be gold, but it's just not happening. I'd rather keep Emig.
