I have mentioned this before, I watched Mike race his first national at Millville and he was very fast. Top 5 moto 1 til he ran out of gas. 2nd moto was similar but I dont remember what happened. "Moto media needs to be more like mainstream sports!!" RacerX reports a publicly available arrest report... "Screw RacerX, they shouldn't report this until all the facts are out!!" I just heard this in passing, like two weeks ago, and didn't have much to go off of other than on-side's take. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of the "I heard something but can't tell you about it" style of things. I feel like I'm good 98% of the time at just being blunt and not doing that. And that isn't news worthy? I don't understand the slew of media types we have in this sport and it takes a teenage participant of the sport to blow the whistle on promoters or whomever taking more than 7 weeks to pay them. Anyone think Walmart or McDonalds could skip paying people 7 weeks and it would go unreported? Thanks for the "We've known all along" insight ML. Maybe it is no big deal making the riders wait to get purse money when entry fees are absolutely up front. Unreal.

Most logical comment in this entire thread. If MX sports had the ability to take a riders entry fee on site prior to the race, then they have the ability to cut a check to riders on site at the end of the day.

James and Weege kept saying how “DEEGS IS RIDING THE PACE OF THE LEADERS” as he was making his way thru the pack. Now I get he was slicing the pack apart going from 31st to 4th. However, after lap 2, Deegan was 27 seconds down. At the finish, Deegan was 56 seconds down. Great comeback, 100%, however, “riding the leaders pace”? Absolutely not, the Lawrence boys were 2-3 seconds a lap better then him the whole race. 2nd moto, if Jett didn’t wad it up, he would have been 25-30 seconds ahead of Deegan on a clean start. The old 'Cycle News' argument. This is like saying constant blackouts over the course of the day are okay because earlier in time people didn't have electricity. When getting a service or product you don't compare it to something similiar in the past, you compare it to other comparable services or product today. He Bill, that was 25+ years ago. The world has advanced with new technology and new ways of thinking/broadcasting. However, Bondo’s production is still as if it’s going to print in Cycle News. Just because we can have it live doesn’t give them a hall pass to just throw shit on the screen. Bondo is terrible at his job.
