I'd be looking for a line in the shrubbery.
Great for training......
Training, but not racing??
If they end at the far end of what is visible in the picture, it's OK. If they go all around the corner it's more similar to Enduro and boring as fuck to ride.
The Shop
I'd pay 25 bucks, ride 3 motos smoke 2 joints and go the fuck home.
Not bad
Is that Mill Lane?
Awsome if it was moist but rock hard ruts is not the most fun to ride. But i would take that over a smooth track any day.
No thanks….clown prep… ruts are good in turns… not the entire length of straights …the only thing this is good for, is to train for another track that ripped too deep and over watered. I”ll take some dust vs this …. Some people confuse this with the track being “ rough” …. This is not “rough” its rut o cross or slot car track. Rough is whooped out, square edged, big breaking bumps …. A track where you need to find new lines and better lines every lap…. We have tracks near me that think this prep is where its at….they call it good prep for Loretta lynns…
The ill informed say this is great., lots of lines.
Looks like my local track on any given day...
Looks standard for UK club racing. Go look at any of the meetings this weekend and the photos, it will all look like this.
Slot car bullshit. Needs maintained.
This unfortunately is the now norm shitty prep at washougal and when I went to mt view a few weeks ago. It was total shit. They ripped it too deep then over watered the shit out of it.
It blows because it turns into slot car cross and takes away line choices. Plus it's more dangerous and really just cuts down on fun factor. They over water so much the first couple practice sessions. Are so muddy n slippery I feel like I'm riding an early April practice in the middle of July.
Worst part is they think they are killing it on track prep.
There's a place in MA called Bro MX that rips and waters to rut up the track. Canning is doing some training there. I think they're trying to encourage pro level training there.
Never heard of it… have to check it out…..
the vet rider in me just got exhausted looking at that
Pit Row
Ruts are not lines.
You dont know why it like that , if its been wet , and its ended up like that , what ya gonna do, but if its been 'ripped deep' for the Gram and watered within an inch of its life, then that aint so good.
That’s a turn in the photo not a straightaway
That is my kind of program ! Get some mountain dew make sure the mixture is leaned out proper (;
Let’s get in on!!!
Too many options, I thought we all agreed to only ride 1 line and not touch the other 95% of the track?
It reminds me of why I never stood a chance of becoming a legit pro lol.
I like it. There are times this can be great if the base is good. I prep our track on occasion like this. Rip it deep, water it heavy, let it sit overnight then till it deep in the morning, with only a splash or 2 of water where needed. Then mid-day till it again real quick and it settles into a perfect middle ground for the afternoon.
There's only one way to get good at riding ruts!
And, the rougher the track, the better.
Bring it!
I’d pack up and drive to another track.
Just annoying. It's not "too hard" it just is not fun. Hard to move around. The average practice track has alot of regular dudes there that just make kinda poor line choices and many times it is hard to break out of that. I would have rather ridden spring creek after the motos last weekend than this.
"Sick Rutz" are the calling card of the modern day poser.
Can't ride a regular track condition worth a shit? Might as well dog paddle your squidly way around those gnarly ruts, then post on the gram about it. If you're going to be a squid, might as well do it on a shit track. A squid's a squid after all.
