Is there a hidden setting somewhere to change streaming quality? I may as well be watching a VHS tape from 1987.
And no, I’m not blaming Peacock. It streams in excellent resolution on my phone, so I’m not sure what’s going on. I am using a PS5 to stream it on.
Can you Cast from a computer or your phone? I get 1080 at the minimum. OR How's your bandwidth?
It’s probably the ps5 causing it. I use a Roku and it’s as clear as anything else.
getting HD 1080 on PC and TV (by IPTV)
I use my Xbox One and it works fine

Apple TV 4K user here, crystal clear 1080p 60fps.
Maybe there is a setting in your PS5 that needs changed.
I think it streams in 1080. 98%+ on the time flawless.
Welcome to what the peasants have to put up with Mr Matthes
Mine works perfect high definition on peacock with Roku.
I have had to refresh this crap every 10 minutes…luckily I had Peacok, if I have to to buy another service or package, I”m done with this dog & pony show…. FU feld, Mx sports and anyone else I forgot……
Mine streams fine on my desktop PC, Windows 10.
On my LG TV, it starts out fine, then starts buffering. Tonight the buffering started during the second 250 moto.
MY LG TV streams everything else just fine, HBO, NetFlix, Hulu, YouTube. I have the newest Peacock app on my TV.
...And right on que, my video looks like a bad VHS tape. 😞
Crystal clear on my ragged old obsolete windows 8 laptop on a verizon jetpack hooked to the TV with an hdmi.
Mine goes between 50% clear and 50% just like Falcon's
Cache
clear it
Network
upgrade it
Mine was doing the same damn thing with my Roku ...the first motor sucked
4K fire stick to 4K projector. Works great on the replay. When will they start streaming in 4K?
Pit Row
Make sure the app is updated also . Mine had a recent update . Working good now .
Never had an issue since it's gone to peacock
The Peacock stream isn't the issue. Too many people have no problems for the stream to be crap. Some people's providers have problems, some people have old flaky routers/modems, sometimes there are network problems in the route from source to destination. Also it seems some devices/operating systems handle the stream better than others. It ain't the stream
Peacock with Xfinity, no other devices on, feed is good until the last 450 and then this!! Feed stops, feed is scrambled, feed is incoherent, feed is fkd up! Why?? Never happens for any other live feed ever....
When this happens I work on my breathing, less I throw something at the stupid TV
.........
People with the crappy modem/router supplied by their provider with 10+ devices connected to it and having buffering issues....must be Peacocks fault...
When I see these threads I have to think that the users network is the problem. Having a stable and maintained, up to date network (not a setup you buy or rent from the cable company) is crucial in this day and age if you don’t want to deal with nonsense, especially if you’re trying to use wifi.
Just because your Hulu and Netflix work fine with your sketchy internet setup doesn’t mean that everything will.
Sheesh, I stated in my post that I don’t feel Peacock is to blame yet a few of you idiots feel the need to comment implying I’m blaming Peacock. Yeah, my internet sucks. I live in an area that doesn’t get super fast internet, so I can’t help that. I can watch it flawlessly on my iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro all at the same time, so I feel it SHOULD be fast enough to stream this. That’s why I asked if there were hidden settings.
Just went through this last week... Clear the cache on the TV/App, re-boot everything. Works perfect now... you can also pause or disconnect anything that doesn't need to be on wifi at the moment... i have a 2 year old router from Spectrum... big screen tv comes in great now.

I watch it through my HTPC directly connected to my TV , using the Peacock streaming site, through my regular internet browser ( Firefox ). So far , it's been a solid 1080p , no buffering. I have a 800/MB cable connection as well.
No issues on my Windows 10 laptop at my house or the ~7 year old Roku when watching at my parents' house, and neither location has any fancy internet connection, just regular cable internet with 6~12 year old wifi routers and zero tech-savvy people living at either location.
::knock on wood::
Screen share from one of those devices to your tv.
I will add that Roku has been 100% flawless. I think built in TV apps are the biggest offenders. Watched Arlington at my brother's place and he has Peacock via Samsung TV built in app and it was clearly subpar (though not as bad as some photos I've seen, just hitches from time to time).
