Anyone who has kids can attest to it taking the daredevil out of you to whatever degree. Its always to some degree. At 36 you just dont have the physical ability then at 26, anyone who is older then 36 can attest to that. I am just saying his racecraft is there, but just harder to push it like the younger guys. AC is an anomoly. Podiums is what i am hoping for at this point.

One of only a handful to beat RV outdoors?

Not for titles, but for wins anyway.

How many titles has Reed come within 10 point of? 5 Points?

The dude is grade-A Bad ass.

17 rounds , and if he stay's healthy , I can see him get a win or two. Have to remember , he came into last season injured and unprepared. And again " If healthy "......I think he may have a great season ahead of him. Wouldn't shock me at all seeing him up on the box at quite a few of these rounds.
Reed hasn't won a main in over three years, only 6 in the last nine years!

$100 down that he doesn't win a main (20min/20lap) or $1000 that he doesn't win two of them!

In?

Fact is, if Reed is leading a main next year, EVERYONE will be out of their seats screaming something. Even at home. Most want to see the old bastard win. A minority want to see him fail and most probably due to their own miserable existence.

I also heard from someone close, that Suzuki found an old box of Factory Front End Feel in the warehouse left over from Decoster's days. And that he is happy.

It’s better than last month and last season. But still needs big improvement. He can get there.

Humans are continuing to evolve and as a species we proceed to push the limits of abilities of both our minds and bodies. What was considered normal and commonplace is now mundane and outdated. It takes humans like Chad Reed to break new ground and to move the status quo ahead. Were it not for this, the coolest trick would still be the cross up. Maybe 36 years is'nt too old. The mind of a 36 y.o. is considerably wiser, more responsible, and more polished than a 20 y.o. In addition to this, lets face it the day Chad Reed retires his life will take the most dramatic change of course to date. And as far as all the teary eyed nonsense about staring into the sunset and reflecting back on a life and career well lived, doesn't sound like the personality of someone who can achieve such succes in a sport as demanding and challenging in so many ways.

No matter what the haters say, this man will be a legend in our sport forever.

What about his corner speed? Sorry but I don't see anything special about his corner speed. I mean you can't usually judge anything from a test track anyway but this footage looks particularly unremarkable.

How dare you disparage the cross-up.
I love a good cross-up.
Where’s my XR75, damn it.

Not much into betting with strangers from another country. Last time that happened , the guy across the pond skipped out on paying me $300.00 and then vanished from here.

Besides ...I got a new bike coming in the next week or two.

Corner speed didn't seem that impressive to me to be honest.

Would be surprised if he gets a top 5 this coming season. Would love to be proven wrong but.

Such an immortal rider. He just should've never left Suzuki, that's the bike for him.

Surprised he was 3rd but don't see that happening over a full 20min main. No Seely, Roczen, Osbourne and Plessinger. Webb only had two weeks on the KTM. Looked like Freise was close to keeping pace with Reed.

Having said that was surprised at how lean Reed looked at Monster Energy cup.

I’d honestly be really surprised if he got more than 2 top 5 finishes. Eli, Kenny, Jason, Marvin, and Justin will all have him covered in speed. He’s going to need the above mentioned guys to have first turn crashes in order to beat them.

You're 22k posts deep into speaking largely with strangers on the internet!

Put your money where your mouth is, sweeten the deal and agree that the loser donates to R2R?

How about you double up because Reed is 22 times the age of his competition, and you're so certain. And odds need to be factored in on any bet right?

Not interested in betting anything with you dummy. You would probably skip out on paying R2R. Besides that , I'm hoping Reed get's a win or two , and some possible extra podium's......weather he can or not , I have no idea.

OH...and btw , I've met probably 100 different " stranger's " from this site in 12 years , and rode with probably 25 of them. Been on the board's even before this place , and will continue to do so. So go eat a bag of dicks! Smile

First off - has he signed with JGR for 2019 yet?

Secondly - why have we not seen Reed riding with Hill. Hill can learn some stuff from Reed. And would be cool to see.
