Hate is usually fear. In this case the fear is real, most 2stroke riders will have no chance to hang with the Varg (of course this is not true for the fastest racers). For most weekend warriors the Varg will be faster and seems that people hate it, want it banned therefore. If the Varg would have gotten luke warm reviews it would not be the case, but (unfortunately) Stark delivered a very good bike on their first try.

I have said it before. I don't think Roger DeCoster gets the credit he is due. I'm old enough to have been around dirt bikes since 1965. Watched his whole career. Nobody has given more to the sport than Roger. He is "The Man" and deserves that title. He is one of only 4 signatures I cherish. The other 3 are Hallman, Robert and Lackey.

Cool premise of the video, but the AI slop takes a bit away.

Agreed, I’m 66 and have never had as much as I do now riding my Stark. I was just about ready to quit riding a couple years ago because it wasn’t fun anymore. The Stark was a game changer for me.

Bit of a trivial complaint, considering the potential audience this has the potential to reach, wouldn’t you say?

I remember we used to pull in the clutch, put the bike in gear, rev it up a few times, and then let the engine die without letting go of the clutch. You have to hold the clutch in until they drop the banner. This is supposed to hold the clutch plates a little more open, (so I was told). Seemed like it worked when we did it back in the day,...

More compression will give more power everywhere. If you ride at 4k feet or below you may have to increase octane to 91. It will not require a mapping change, but may benefit from one.

The crosshatching extends through the “scuffing.” But the picture may be deceiving and reflections in the cylinder can create all kinds of illusions. I wouldn’t worry about it but if you want to make sure pull the cylinder.

I remember reading about a test frame that KTM had with a bulkier steering head to hold various inserts to change the steering head angle. Once they settled on a certain angle using the test setup, KTM went and built a pre production frame with that angle using a std steering head. Apparently it came out with a totally different feel due to the difference in that head area

You wont notice a difference, buy a Mako 360 if you want a noticeable amount of bump and vibration absorbing. In my opinion function better than the Flexx bars and allow for much more freedom also ive never seen a Mako break.
