High compression piston

Was thinking about putting a 13.5:1 high compression piston in my 2023 KX450..stock compression ratio is 12.5:1 So a one point higher compression ratio.. Right now my bike has a pro circuit ported and polished head..full pro circuit exhaust system..no toil pro intake kit and a Vortex ECU map by twisted development set up to run on VPU 4.4 race gas.. My question is Will the higher compression piston make a  noticeable difference.. and what other changes will I need to make to my bike like ECU tuning ect..Thanks.

Ask Twisted? Or Pro Circuit? They have skin in the game, and experience.

More compression will give more power everywhere. If you ride at 4k feet or below you may have to increase octane to 91. It will not require a mapping change, but may benefit from one.

Compression tends to add power from top to bottom. How much depends on many different things. A HC piston will add more power to a matched ported head than a stock head. Marginally but still more.

I can't think of any reason not to just go give it a try if your needing to do a piston anyways.
