RussellSimpson Started a new thread Why does 105 always feel too tall

When it comes to race sag I've always felt like the rear end was sitting too tall at 105mm! I've owned lots of bikes in my life 1989 CR250.. 1997 KX250.. 2000 YZ250.. 2002 YZ250.. 2005 RM250.. 2005 KX250.. 2006 KX250..2014 CRF450.. 2015 CRF450.. 2017 CRF450.. and now a 2023 KX450 with a pro circuit link and knckle.. and every...

Honda is all about clean this and clean that..so it's highly doubtful! But Honda is also a tech geek company and I wouldn't doubt if they tried to develop a forced injection two stroke or something along them lines!

Well in the annals of amateur motocross racing all across this great land of ours the 327 two-stroke absolutely will be allowed to race the 450s and 450 A B or C.. and any other open class.. like open A Open B Open C or open beginner class..not to mention all the vet classes so there will be plenty of...

I race my yz250 and yz450 on the same day and same track all the time and my lap times are the same. Sorry brother but it’s the guy twisting the throttle not that bike that matters. Give me a kx327 and a kx450 and I’m running the same times.

I'm faced with the same dilemma myself.. Get the new 2027 Kawasaki KX327 or get that awesome new 2027 Honda CRF450.. I'm like you I want to see ride reports on the new two-stroke and the new Honda before I make my decision so it looks like I'll be probably waiting to at least the end of the year before...

RussellSimpson Added a reply to KX327 WEIGHT CLAIM

6/5/2026 6:16pm
That's what I was kind of hoping.. that the claimed 233.7 lb was the wet weight that way the bikes dry weight would be like you said around 223 lb without gas.. which would be incredibly incredibly light for a 327cc two stroke race bike..
I really want that new Kawasaki 2-stroke but damn why does this Honda have to be so good on paper with The 10 lb lighter and six horsepower more new gen bike! Lol Decisions decisions.. This is really going to be a tough one between the Kawasaki KX327 two-stroke and the new Honda CRF 450!

Yea Me too.. because if the wet weight was 233lbs then that means the dry weight would be closer to 225lbs without fuel because gasoline weighs approximately 6.2 lb per gallon and with a 1.7 gallon gas tank that would be roughly 8 lb lighter empty than with a full tank
I just posted this a minute ago.. But I'll ask her again I've been reading a lot of media outlets advertisement on the new Kawasaki's claimed wet weight of 233lbs.. So is that what Kawasaki's officially claiming as their wet weight or is the 233 lb They're claimed dry weight?

I've been reading quite a few media outlets post on the new Kawasaki KX327 claimed wet weight at 233lbs? My question is is this actually true.. Are they claiming a wet weight of 233 lb or a dry weight of 233lbs?

Old slow vet rider on a 23 KX450 with pro circuit linkage and ride engineering 22 mm offset triple clamps.. I like my rear end sag usually around 108.. 105 sometimes feels good but at times can feel too high in the rear.. 108 generally feels really good to me with the forks up about 3 mm. With this setting...
The next Kawasaki bike I buy will be the new two-stroke and if they don't come out with one then I guess I'll never buy another Kawasaki as long as I live..Just because they came out with a teaser and then a year and a half later not so much as one word on the new bike and if they...

I went to the Fox backyard sale at Fox headquarters in Irvine today. I didn’t need any gear and went to get grandkids stuff like hoodies/hats etc. Got out of there with a pile of clothing for $145. Hoodies $25, flannels $15 etc. people were buying really nice full outfits for dirt cheap. The highlight of the day was seeing the headquarters. Lots of cool racing memorabilia.
