This is so cool! I'll turn 60 next year and this makes me want to get back to riding again. My last race was in 2008 on a clapped out Yamaha 426! 125 is the place I want to be or maybe a 250F.

This post inspired me to literally dust off the 125 and load it up to shred tomorrow, poor husky 125 has been neglected with my switch from Austrian to Yamaha for my big bores. Both me and the Husky needed this, thanks!!IMG 1272 3

In my opinion, the Stark is more fun. Coming from a YZ250 myself (5 years on the bike).

Agreed, I’m 66 and have never had as much as I do now riding my Stark. I was just about ready to quit riding a couple years ago because it wasn’t fun anymore.  The Stark was a game changer for me.

69 had several yz 125s in my days latest 2014.

Nothing more fun than a 125 WFO.

This thread motivated me to break out my 125 today.  It was my 50th bday present from my wife.   Turn 53 in a couple of weeks and today was a good reminder I need to ride this more.  And it’s great motivation to better my fitness!!!

Awesome thread guys.If I still rode moto, I'd be tempted to get a 125, but the tracks here in Arizona are few and far between and I still have my 06 450.

I have some quality time ridng a Stark, 50HP was my favorite HP. Also one could steer the rear end with just some light input from the hips - that was so awesome!   What stopped me from the purchase was the weight. It weight was almost again as much as I weight.......I do have an Epure Trials Bike and I AM in the low numbers on the waiting list for a new Dust. Two wheels regardless of the the motor type...

The bike feels light to me when you ride it. It's just when you pick it up and put it on the stand you feel it.

Ugh…..this poor 125 needs a new home, it deserves to be loved and ridden. If someone in here would also like to speak with their wallet and get the sickest 125 you can build HMU. Now why would I want to sell the sickest 125? Unfortunately I just can’t with the older ktm frames now, even though I owned and loved my 17,18,20,22 and this TC22 frame when I only rode these frames. Now that I’m on BLUCRU, I just cannot feel comfortable on this frame. My main ride is a 25 yz250 so I’d love to either trade for a yz125 or sell this outright.

I put $3k into the motor with Haesker, it’s an exact copy of Stankdawgs motor, I believe that’s the last 125 to make a main. It absolutely rips. 2022 TC125 with 35 hours. Motor was done at 25 hours, new crank and all. IMG 7646 0.jpeg?VersionId=Vp1CkIAxWY7A3.jhj3NIMG 7647 1IMG 7639 2.jpeg?VersionId=ABIMG 7640 2IMG 7641 2

This thread is rad.

I sold my 2014 YZ125 in 2019, and I’m kicking myself over it right now. Bought it new. So reliable and so fun. Chassis is so nimble, yet so stable with amazing comfort.

I’m 34 and recently got back into riding mx more often after a few years of barely riding. Got a leftover new 350 SX-F for a steal of a deal and absolutely love it, 350Fs are my second favorite bikes after 125s. But still they are not quite as reliable as YZs, not quite as fun, they don’t have the track toughness and they have a steeper learning curve. Growing up on 2Ts, nothing builds my skills quickly like a 125. I feel like such a hero on bigger bikes when I’m riding a 125 often.

I’m buying a new YZ 125 as soon as I get a new job. OP great score from Power Motorsports.

Power Motorsports were the easiest purchase of a motorcycle I’ve ever had. After checking around So Cal for prices and calling them. I couldn’t believe the price, I actually had to question Sam the sales rep, I couldn’t believe it! Hell I got overly excited to buy the bike.

Ttylerm255, you would be the last person I’d let break my bike in. My old, fat, balding “your words”beat your ass on your own bike! So again not riding for 7 years, I’ll still beat your ass!🤣

You know what they say, if you’re not sure if somebody rides dudes, just wait 5 seconds. They’ll tell you about their stark.

75 next April      2 YZ 125's and a Triumph 250 getting Clake SLR Rear brake and keeping the foot brake. (my right foot is 1 1/2" shorter) I have a thick 3/4" sole lift and not very good feel. The frame without the engine has a 155 on the way, first of the year from CA. (have a complete 134cc motor for sale) The other YZ is a 144 and set up for offroad. Waiting on the brake lines that go from the SLR to the rear master cylinder. To make the SLR work on a yamaha, I purchased Bremso hydro clutches from Italy. 125's are so much fun😍  (engineers tape is for no motor oil)

Who is building the 155?

Been thinking of going 134 or 144 on mine since it appears RPM no longer builds 167’s?IMG 9724

So I guess a modern 125 has the powerband and grunt of an early 80,s 250?
