I'll second that! Have had pickups my whole life. Went enclosed trailer route about 5 years ago and thought that was next level. May of last year I finally picked up a new extended Sprinter since we were able to finance it at 0%. It took a few months ... more »

Vans are really overpriced right now in the PNW unless you look for a low roof transit, and even those are more than I paid for a low mile mid roof two years ago. Have you considered a smaller car/suv? I know a guy that that pulls a three rail trailer ... more »

Go as big as you can afford. I have a Kubota L3240, a 331 Bobcat mini ex. and an old International 5yd truck. Have built and rebuilt several times with just this equipment. Sometimes its an exercise in futility. The smaller the equipment, the longer ... more »

This hit home. I have longed for a dedicated woods and mx bikes for years now. I finally own a '21 CRF250r as my track bike and a '21 YZ250X as my woods bike. My last two bikes were a '19 YZ250F setup for GP type riding and a '20 YZ250FX. Just last Sunday ... more »

I have a couple sets of Fox 360 from the last several years. Outside of one stitching issue they have been extremely durable. Just bought a set of Fly Lite gear from '20 and unfortunately had a small tip over in an offroad race and ripped up the knees. ... more »

Find some coarse foam, skid plate foam works great, trim into shape and install in front of air intake. I've done this for a couple of our YZ's and it works great. Pull out and wash crud off every couple rides. It does not block that much air flow and ... more »

They do fine all around in my opinion. Where I typically use them is more wet/slick hardpan to loamy with plenty of roots. Just ordered a new set for a race next weekend. GP style race in the woods around Washougal and I'm guessing sections of the track ... more »

Bridgestone M59 front. My go to for woods and decent on tracks in Western Oregon. Pick any soft terrain rear mx tire. Lately I'm partial to the Pirelli Scorpion XC's. Cross's over well to most tracks. Last year on my 250FX I tried a set of "woods" specific ... more »

It can be even better. My 7x16 has e-track about 30" up off the floor down each sidewall. Simply pick a spot that balances out the load for however many bikes you bring, and just use tiedowns to the e-track. Biggest benefit is not needing bike shoes ... more »

I have two transits for my business used as installation rigs. One T250 eco and one T150 3.7. I believe there was a recall for an electrical issue on the "15 T250 and the driveshaft. It also has just developed an issue where the power windows would intermittently ... more »

Not sure what I'm going to do long-term with the cabin. It's in really good shape structurally. It's just not very comfortable due to no insulation at all. The inside is way cool, all wall studs, rafters, and floor joists are made from small doug fir ... more »

Do you mix your moto stuff in with the woodworking tools? I'm trying to decide what to do with my miter and table saw. Currently have them setup in another barn but dirt floor and open to the weather not great for storing wood and nice tools.

We'd been kicking around the idea of a van for a long time, and due to Covid Mercedes had 0% interest so we pulled the trigger basically for that reason.
