About Me
I have been a dirt bike fan for as long as I can remember, but did not start riding & racing until I got out of law school in '71. I raced MX for a number of years and started doing cross country races (Baja 500, etc.) as well in the mid-‘70’s. In the mid-'80's I started competing in an off road car in the desert and in a Formula Ford on road courses. I continued to race dirt bikes along with the cars until the late 80’s (it was a mistake to ever get off of dirt bikes!). The years that followed saw me racing shifter karts, dirt ovals on 4 wheels, dragsters and door cars at the drag strip, and motorcycles and sports cars on road courses. All great fun. I stopped racing as a participant in ’07.
I have represented drivers/riders, tracks, sanctioning bodies, dealers, manufacturers, and other companies in the course of my law practice.
I opened a MX track in Tucson in the mid-‘70's and ran it for several years.
Now...I am just a spectator at many different kinds of racing events. I still own a '81 Maico 490 that an old friend and his son race in VMX races and help out on a land speed car that runs at Bonneville and El Mirage.
