Has to be a crappy feeling. You can see the panic from the injury. Could be the end of his championship. Lucky he didn’t collapse a lung & break 7 ribs on his backside. Like me by far the worst pain of any injury. Lacerations & a hole in the lung . 2 weeks later in massive pain yet. Hv to sleep sitting up & leaned to the right.

Sacha is my favourite rider atm, not just on the track, but also in interviews and his character He looked pretty fkd yesterday, I would be surprised if he lines up at fox hills, I hope he does, as he's great to watch in the flesh

I think if Lucas wins the 450 MXGP series he would have to ride 450 SX.

What the Coenen’s are doing doesn’t seem too out of line or unusual. Of course there is risk, but there is risk training at home (see Jett). I am glad they came and hope they still race Ironman. Getting track and series familiarity for their future.

Lucas is fine he said on post race interview with Lewis.

They still have 8 rounds to go over in the MXGP. I think if Sasha misses 1 round , I can see him still winning that championship. That kid is a beast!

I dont think Sacha couldve have done any more to prove he was on another level yesterday goes 1-1-1 for the day 1st moto Had many mistakes in the first corners, no one was able to capitalize. Over 30 seconds lead. 4 seconds a lap faster at times 2nd moto: Arguably a generational talent and current points leader Cole Davies gets the holeshot. Sacha closed the gap, made a huge mistake, closed the gap quickly again, passes him, opens up a over 15 seconds lead, crashed hard, injures himself, probably breaking something, rides with no goggles.. and STILL runs faster...

It was sand. I think if Sacha did the whole season he would win the title but it's not like he would win every race by 30 sec. Thunder valley 2nd moto was a lot closer. But it does show how stacked the MX2 class is. There's 7 riders that are very close: Sacha, Farres, Längenfelder, Mclellan, Everts, J Reisulis, Valin. Probably 4-5 of them could have won Southwick. Maybe not by 30 sec but they're all good in the sand.

The difference between Sacha and the Americans was pretty noticeable. Sacha had flow, kept his momentum up, hopping bumps and railing outsides when it presented itself. His weight was further back so he was less likely to stuff the front end. The Americans were still doing too much turn and pivot. The Americans ride too far forward which leads to tucking the front. They also plow into every breaking bump going into a corner like they are SX whoops rather then hopping and doubling when it presents itself. Another things Americans do is brake on that last, the biggest, braking...

The Coenens grew up in Belgium and cut their teeth on deep sand tracks. Southwick ain't a sand track by European standards.
