Sidecar GP was awesome - as you say plenty of shade, plus good catering and you can get close to the action too.

The YouTube vids of these GP's with the quads are brilliant. The tracks the use are (or at least look) amazing. Well worth a watch

Canada Heights is just up the road from me, if the wind is blowing in the right direction I can hear the bikes. I’ll doubt I’ll go to be honest, MX2 will be good but MX1 will be a bore fest with about 25 on the gate & Mewse winning over Watson by 20 seconds.

This didnt age well.

Best British MX round for ages,  Worst MotoGP i have ever seen LOL.

I watched much of Canada Heights last night.

Pretty Bloody good - even Jeff's Hat Wearing, Ice Cream snaffling co-host, who's name escapes me  ........ 😁

Great Track - I did have a bit of a giggle at the 'Dust Problem'.

And, the Rocks being Roosted into the commentary booth / shack / trailer (?) . 😲

Good Stuff!

Tell me about it, I watched the great footage you & Jeff put out & that 2nd MX2 race was a belter, I really thought Askew was going over the fence where Searle came unstuck in practice. We’ve got some really good young talent in MX2 now with Heyman, Askew, Brookes, Kieth & Mustoe.

And yes Moto GP was a snooze fest but the AMA was good.

The track looks so different on TV, it looks smooth but trust me when I say that place gets nasty by the end of the day, plenty of step bumps & hard edges. Ever time I’ve ridden there or watched, a session will always be red flagged as we see yesterday. The track used to be a lot sandier especially near where the lagoon is.

LOL..  i got stitched up there.

The dust problem was more that MXGB wanted more water on it so it stayed damp for longer and the club didnt, so we got what we got, but i get that you dont think it was dusty LOL.

And it was busy, even though it didnt look it, because most people were under the trees keeping cool.

We try to keep it simple, and with racing like that it certainly helps.

We were even closer to the track last year, and we had to have all the doors shut, And its a 10x6x6 box trailer, that carries the MXGB mule and a load of other stuff between races. it Isnt a 'broadcast suite'.

Yesterday was awesome to do, Canada Heights is hard work with all the trees and only having 4 cameras.

That whole thing was done out of a trailer and a Van, we have a crew of 10, 4 fixed cam's one roaming, one on site producer and 2 offsite producer/directors, and me and Jeff.  We drafted Leah in to try and make use of the roving cam a bit more, but pit lane wasnt in an ideal place for signal apparently, so we didnt get to use it as much as we needed to .

Crowd looked good to me - Saw quite a few by various (chestnut?) fences, and, a Lot of movement under the trees - understandable with the weather you've had. I'm not one of those wankers who desperately look just for the light on / empty spectators areas, that seem to populate threads - those types always looking to put down 'other' races.

Dust - it's a fine line between controlling it, and, making a bloody swamp. But, it was as of nothing, to an Australian who's put up with it, since childhood.

Coverage was Very Bloody Impressive.

I'm pretty sure I've seen race footage from Canada Heights - well, so many Brit Tracks, throughout my life. Just seems they've All had many jumps added to them. It's the way it is.

So, how many Ice Creams did you snaffle, and, how much of it did you drip onto yourself / the 'studio' floor ?

When they left Leah having to stand there, while they took a Looong (poor Lady) time to go away from her,  it was a chuckle, with either You or  Jeff saying some funny things about said delay.

Well done, even if you are (a couple of)  ' Horrible Pommie Bastards ! '

Leah, seems to be too nice a Lady to be exposed to you two...........

It certainly made our life easier having 6 great races.

They are pushing each other, Heyman had issues with the heat in race 2, so backed it way down,  but they all wanted that one at the end.

I hope Duns is as good, it will have to go some to top that though.

They were just trying to add a bit of humour.

Ice Cream guys ( and there were a few) had a good day.

There were tons of families and small kids there, the proximity to London gets a lot of people through the gate, and the club promote well locally .

I haven't raced there in 20 years now, but it was a brutal track whatever the weather.

Once again Phil, you, Jeff and the production crew did an excellent job all day. That 2nd MX2 race in particular was as tight and hectic as I've seen in some time. Promising rising stars coming through.

Hopefully those who are entered in to Foxhills this weekend can show what the current crop of GB talent can do on the world stage.
