He’s rather polarizing. One group of people believe he’s deity and can do no wrong and they make excuses for anything that isn’t divinity. The other camp loathes him. I’m in the latter camp. I don’t worship people. 94 isn’t in the same zip code as 18. 38 has fit a lot of work to do to even be close to 18, 96, 3, 4, and honestly, 2. What was the excuse last night?

You might be in denial. If I were him, I'd be concerned if he couldn't make his way through the majority of the guys he lined up against. Also, finishing 15+ seconds behind Roczen in an 8 lap race is not being gapped? Main 3 he was 21 seconds back. People see what they want to see, I guess. Fill that gap with Sexton, Tomac, Jett, Hunter, Webb, Plessinger, Stewart, Barcia. Ferrandis, and that third can easily become an 8-10. He's got some work to do.

No one said it’s cool when Tomac does it. However I can only recall Tomac smoking a clutch outdoors and/or in heavy conditions. Deegan smoked his in 4 minutes. Kind of a big difference.

Unfortunately when you behave like a dick enough times people stop focusing on the results and only focus on the behaviour. The Deegan’s have painted themselves into a corner with their approach - what will become of the Deegan train if he never wins a 450 title or at least never wins one until Jett retires?

He’s mistake prone in SX, not the greatest in the whoops, and his starts are inconsistent (I’m paraphrasing here what JT said on the Pulp Show this week). Aside from that one his greatest assets in the last two years has been a field of 250 competitors that can barely string two good motos or main events together.

100% the numbers are there. For me its the eye ball test. I dont see him having the flow and ability on a sx track that the greats had before him. His physical stature and ability to blitz whoops is also going to be a major problem. Now maybe how I'm judging him is flawed. Who gives a shit if he doesnt look as "pretty" and flow around a sx track if hes getting wins? Cooper Webb isnt flashy or very exciting to watch and we've seen his success. I dont think Haiden is anywhere close to the sx rider...

This would be the look that the gear is based off, the proper Australia Olympic jackets, Green and gold. Then of course the blue represents the flag. A classy new take on Aussie colours, Websters green and yellow definitely popped on track though.

Here's the thing about Jett. What's his weakness??? Every other great has had a weakness. RC's was the whoops and supercross early on. Stew had amazing speed but crashed a lot. Dungey was super consistent but his bike had to be in a narrow window. MC struggled outdoors. Again, where's Jett's weakness? Fitness is as good as anyone. His starts? check. Speed? Double check. Sand, hardpack, rough, fast, slow & technical, mud? check, check, check, check.... There are no situations where other riders think "ok, this is my chance to capitalize on him". He literally makes you beat him in...
