1/12/2025 10:11pm Just like last year when he talked about a goal of surpassing 72 wins he said this season that he had a goal going for a perfect SX season. He also said that he give him self high goals since he have won every title there is to win now on US soil and want to set the bar high to stay motivated. And as usual plenty of English speaking fans struggle to understand what a goal means, that it’s not a statement that someone WILL do it, it’s just something to aim for.Or maybe a goal means something else...

11/9/2024 6:20am Imagine back then, it only took a field with some small dips and climbs to push a bikes limits. Now you need special built facilities to do so. Progress? Shoot, back in the day. An afternoon of riding would beat you like todays race day. Maybe a Surron and a field around the corner ain't a bad proposition.

11/9/2024 5:56am I think Gaerne offer the best ankle protection, I used to get middle of road quality boots and had ankle problems… I started wearing Gaerne due to my wide feet…and my ankle problems went away…they are stiff in the ankle area and take a while to break in but that same stiffness provides the ankle support. I rotate 2-3 pairs of boots, I use Anthonys shoe repair in Corona DelMar for sole replacements, he does excellent work and uses genuine Gaerne soles… , I ride on my arches more than I should so I go through soles quickly..

11/9/2024 5:56am I went from Tech 10s to SG-12s, and in my 30+ years of racing, I’ve never felt better protected than I am now and they wear like iron. The Tech-10s were more “sneaker-feeling”, and between motos I take my boots off and put my shoes back on for added comfort, but if you’re looking for support and protection, the SG-12s are the hot ticket.

TDC Started a new thread '24 300SX fuel pump relay test and part no.?
11/7/2024 11:02am My test meter shows no continuity. Are these normally open or closed? The part shows NAIS cm11a-R-12v-H80 M37, but Amazon ID numbers shows M36 and shows H78. Will the Amazon part be the correct functioning part? TIA

TDC Added a reply to Smart Carb vs Lectron vs STIC Keihin.
11/7/2024 8:41am It's too bad that STIC never released a smaller carb for 85's. The Pro Series version with the extreme rod is the much better version. When it comes to the STIC PWK meter block or Super X carb. The STIC tech has a much more aggressive power level. I personally use the most tame G2 throttle cam for my 200SX...

10/16/2024 6:53pm I guess the Austrian rumor of a new 360cc TBI in development may not make it to market. The last chance for a proper big bore to see production.

10/16/2024 6:45pm Wouldn't top heavy be outside the difference of bore and 20-ish CC gyro and piston weight change? But hey you've ridden both.

10/16/2024 6:33pm Yup, as a new biz plan, I guess they'll be focusing on small displacement street bikes for the developing countries near India.

10/16/2024 6:23pm 175cc, the sweet spot for keeping 125 flick-ability. 200's have a heavier feel. From what I've read, that is. If you want more power than bling affect, adapt the air boots for a STIC Super X 38mm PWK carb. These are small bore magic. Provides big-bore low end with its improved sensitivity to the weaker vacuum signal at low RPM...

10/16/2024 6:10pm Inflation adjusted, that's prolly 1990's pricing! Surely they will be cutting production numbers dramatically for the next model year.

10/2/2024 9:38am Defo grab a .1135" tube. It will work at lower elevations too. The 113 tube may or may not work as I've seen at near sea level.

10/2/2024 7:49am Yup, I know a couple YZ125X riders. One used Apex. Tho it's a good idea to run a loose squishband gap. If you ride in mid to higher elevation it's a good idea to order with a smaller sized needle jet tube(.1135"). The std X tube is .1149, provides greater power. I just lent mine to a 125SX rider and...

9/29/2024 3:54pm Buy the newest model year YZ125 you can afford. Don't worry about the power being enough, track is different than woods/field riding. A 125 will be plenty of fun with obstacles. Cheap parts, easy to work on, lots fo availabilty. Learn you will, hmmm.
