In the end, eMTB for your short stay in SB. Fine if you plan to keep your bike, but on the regular, hit the many MTB trails. BTW, the trails are all natural, no jumps or berms. Maybe the DH trails have some things built, but nothing extensive.

Yeah, I hit the tracks here with a couple groups and each one is old farts to a couple college kids. We all wired wrong! I sure miss my VC days, being so close to MTB and great weather. Close enough to Mojave dez after some rains and Hungry Valley with 70 mile loops in the Nat forest. Never take...

I think Pinnit Racing shows them having the same measurement from wrist pin to piston bottom. Maybe the tighter fit prevents the rocking at BDC.

Saticoy bridge, Oxnard side, on the South side, next to the bridge. Take a look at some older google earth images, 10/2016 in the History icon. I made a pretty long turn track with minor elevation changes. I used every square inch of that spot. It would take no time to break it back in. I worked in a lot...

SB, better to visit than live there. Long ago it lost nearly all of the ppl that made it a great place to live. He won't find anything like Southern hospitality vibes, for sure. LOL
I took a chance on a '24 300SX WMR re-flash and PC Works pipe and was enjoying the best bike I ever rode. Regrets, 60 hours-ish in and she won't start. Too busy, so I'm slowly working thru. troubleshooting. Gonna have to buy an OBD2 analyzer and the adapter I guess. Glad I have my ballistic STIC PWK equiped 200SX...
I know a moto dad that got his boy into top 3 Ponca Nat starts against top riders with fully built 125 engines. All he did was swap in the STIC PWK Super X carb onto a stawk '22 125SX with pump gas. Imagine that on your CR's.

This. The TX boy ain't likely gonna embrace that cold Pacific though. The other choice is to do gnar off-road. Yes you'll have to drive distance for anything worth while. There is some gnar MTB downhill around SB, but also a lot of good back country trail riding. I'd suggest a long travel ebike. Embrace the mountains while you have...

Hey, we're talking KTM here. They ignore these issues, so if there wasn't much of an issue before the SX(track bike), Therefore it's MX bros pinning it to win it. KTM logic, get on board. \s

We already have KTMs etc...... Yeah, because $11k 2 strokes are a great idea. NOT. Yamaha has it dialed and it's been working for them for years. Keep it cheap and simple. You don't need the added weight, complexity on a motor you can start with your hand. Get real. You don't need FI... learn how to jet a carb for cyring out loud.

Had a lot of fun with this bike in 04 into 05. Kawasaki all ready brought back a bike everyone said not happening. The new zx4rr inline 400 sport bike in 23. If kawie brings out new kx 125 n 250 it will make moto better.

Totally agree, but I find it hard to believe they are developing FI for some two strokes, and keep a carburetor on another. But sure as hell I hope they keep a Keihin PWK air striker on this bike.

That sounds about right. Nobody is gonna race a KX250 (even if modernized) in SX/Nationals due to the displacement rule. Could see this being a big hit with hard enduro crowd. Bike would need e-start, 18" rear, and maybe a spot to hang a kickstand. It would 100% be used for local motocross.

Thank you. Just a phone pic of my barn-find KDX on the backyard turn track that I had in Utah before moving to Alaska. When I found the bike, it still had its original tires! I replaced those, put in a new piston and rings (bore looked great!), a new seat cover, new levers, wider footpegs, new grips & handlebar, new Boyesen reeds, new fork boots, a CR master cylinder for the front brake, new brake pads and shoes, new tires, DG spark-arrestor/silencer, and a KX aluminum kickstart lever (wayyy lighter than steel stocker). I've since added an FMX Platinum...

Matthes says it’s a full size race bike per guys at Kawi that he spoke to and it will likely be out this year.
