I reread your post after I replied and got the tone wrong so I went ahead and deleted my response. I agree 100% and think your OJ reference is definitely something to keep in mind. Depending on verbiage used in contracts, certain situations like you presented definitely muddy the water for prosecuting.

For those saying releasing statements on social media was irresponsible and ill-advised, other than Mirtl's "statement", all the others have obviously been coached and/or written by lawyers.

Based on his written communication, it's safe bet that his embezzlement skills are equally sophisticated.

The fact that people look at agents as anything other than parasites, always surprises me, we had a similar thing in GP's in the 80's where someone fleeced a lot of riders, and despite 'the story being told' , i have never heard the name of who that was. I hope the rest of the guys are not screwed , but i suspect Wasserman will be on the hook for that.

I feel like Monster cup hasn’t been a thing in 20 years… My most vivid memory from all the years was Barcia showing up on his own Honda when he didn’t have a ride, was pretty bad ass to see a guy at that level take responsibility into his own hands to get it done.

I think Alby also had a lot of money in housing, and a lot of it went tits up. As for Reed being a good businessman. Anyone who circles themselves with smart people to make money are good businessmen. A good businessman should be sitting on a terrace drinking chamgagne/beer while his workers do the work. A good businessman probably spends most of his time on the phone getting other people to do his work for him.

Kind of a hot take, but I think he will win a heat race and finish on the podium in the main before the end of the SX season.

Take it easy on the guy, he threw himself is the gnarlest series on the planet with minimal experience. Once his riding became defensive, it looked like he was drowning in armpump. We'll never know. Although, after he fell, he did shake out his arm. He had a great heat race at 8 laps or whatever it is. 20min main with all that heat will take some getting used to, again. He's a Champion, he'll figure it out. It's what they do!

No upside? Did you see the semi? Did you see the debut? Everything the guy touches is first class and sano. I saw that rig roll in yesterday and my jaw dropped. He’s had a factory team for multiple years. I can’t think of a better partner.
