Adding Mike Healey. But yes, it has to be The Dogger. When he was on it, no one could touch him. Ricky Johnson says as much himself.

All mxgp riders race their national championships too. Fewer races, granted.

Lupino is an imbecile. Great racing, the US guys were very poor today.

Wow. Huge respect for Travis. Great racing going on.

Added reply in a thread Be Honest, can you ride a wheelie? 9/26/2018 2:23 PM

Not like a "Jarvis" wheelie but I can accelerate 2nd to 5th on a wheelie. Not very good at it

That was epic. Great choice of music too, it reminded me of the first Crusty Demons of Dirt and Demented Chowder. Ah, the memories. I want a 2 stroke. Fuck it, who wants a 2014 KTM 450? I'm off to buy a CR 500 or KX 500

Bit of fun. I'm rooting for Anderson. Would be great to see Husqvarna win the SX title.

See my thread about resurrecting production through a new company buying the engine production line etc. I love these.

Now that's a very interesting perspective. It all depends on the sale price.

Added reply in a thread Is this good for Alta? (Harley Davidson Investment) 3/1/2018 8:57 AM

Yes this. Harley is desperate for diversification. Hopefully they learned from the Buell disaster, but let's see. I have a Harley and plan to eventually buy an Alta.

Added reply in a thread Do XC models work for MX? 3/1/2018 12:12 AM

2014 XC-F 450 absolutely fine as MX bike. In fact, it's 90% the same as the SX-F, only differences being the larger tank, 18' wheel and side stand. I actually prefer the 18' wheel as it has more traction and it's softer on the bumps. My next bike will ... more »

Added reply in a thread That horrible 2018 Suzuki... 2/25/2018 1:52 AM

I'm not good enough a rider to judge how good/bad the Suzuki is compared to the rest, but surely a top team bike would be completely hopped up and bear no resemblance to how the stock one rides, isn't it?

Added reply in a thread buy and run the CR 500 or KX500 production line 2/24/2018 10:33 AM

Good point on having just engine parts made. I am also intrigued about that 2T chinese bike - think of them what you want, but an MX bike isn't rocket science. A good torquey 500 based on the CR500 - KX500 design and might also work. Bottom line, I'd ... more »

Well, in my original post, this Canadian company seems to have put a great effort into developing a modern 500 for a KTM. https://www.facebook.com/brcracingcanada/ This looks like a very detailed effort, with highly sophisticated computer models and ... more »

I agree. And by every possible measure metric the 2018 CRF will be the better bike. But the majority of riders won't go anywhere near using the full potential of the bike, so the emotional factor is equally important, or at least that's what I am trying ... more »

Added reply in a thread buy and run the CR 500 or KX500 production line 2/23/2018 11:58 AM

Good point. And they do a road legal version too. A good honest 500 would still be preferable (and I know they do a 500 too). Slight annoyance with these is that the Zabel engine they use has the kick start on the left. As if these aren't already tough ... more »

Added reply in a thread buy and run the CR 500 or KX500 production line 2/23/2018 11:51 AM

yes, but by that logic there's no point in buying any new bike ever, is there? There are always used bikes with even a few hours on that are much cheaper than new. In the US there's a bigger offer of used 500s. In Europe, they are rare and extremely ... more »

That's one of the questions I have. Are there really few people to buy a big bore 2T? There's also the aftermarket for the existing KX or CR that are running out of spares (If what one reads on the internet has to be believed).

Added reply in a thread buy and run the CR 500 or KX500 production line 2/23/2018 11:34 AM

Good debate. But market would have to be global. Huge demand for these in Europe (I am based in the UK and have a look at what a 1992 KX500 with starship hours sells for)
