I don't care who you root for, but anyone who isn't making it a point to just enjoy watching one of the all time greats do it in real time is really missing out. I've been riding mx for ~34 years.... So yeah, I ride, and pinning it down Mt. Martin looks sketchy af. Doing 55-65mph at that speed in a rough and rutted track is gnarly and one small error has you cartwheeling down a long hill. If that's not sketchy to you then you haven't done it, you haven't hit the ground hard, or you don't have any natural sense of self-preservation.

People like Jo because he comes off as authentic in a sport that's severely lacking in human personalities. He's laid back, combatted Deegan's bullshit with silliness, and he's very honest about his performances. When he got his first podium he said he didn't deserve it because people crashed, whereas most people would say, "yeah, no, we've been working hard, can't thank my team."
