I'm digging the fact that the first thing Jett said after his 2nd moto win was, "is Hunter okay?" It sure is easy to root for this family.
If it’s so easy why’s is it crazy thats his first question? It’s his own damn brother. It would be weird if that wasn’t his first question
Damn, Hoss, maybe chill.
I was just pointing out that in this day and age it's refreshing to see a young man more concerned about his big brother's well-being than his own race win.
That’s exactly the response I would expect from any brother. My brother and I are 1.5 years apart and have raced against each other for the better part of the past 30+ years.
I bet it feels good to know that you have a wingman for life. I'm happy for you. It's cool to see this play out at the highest level of our sport with Hunter and Jett. That's all I was saying.

My brother was down for 2 laps at a pro am one time & I stopped to check on him & he’s like I’m fine. I’m like well get the fuck off the track then 😂
I think your framing is flawed. As has already been said, the first thing from almost everyone who would have a brother in that exact situation would be to ask about him. Absolute human nature.
The “young man more concerned about his big brother's well-being than his own race win” part is faulty, though. The race had already ended. At that point he wasn’t choosing between his race win and his brother’s health. In reality, finishing the race was closer to putting his race win first when you think about it. But without any reason to believe that Hunter had life threatening injuries, he did what nearly everyone in that position would. Again.
And that’s not any sort of slap on Jett, either.
I don't know, man, and I don't want to argue. I've got an ex-wife for that.
I just know that Jett finished the race and he only knew that Hunter was no longer in second place. His first question was to ask about his big brother. That's cool as shit.
We're not talking about a situation like what Tomac did a Budds when got into a first lap pile up with some triple digit guys and then took the time to help some dude that was buried under his bike. That was some honorable shit.
Jett only knew that his brother dropped back. His first question was equally honorable. Is my brother okay? I don't even know why this is a debate?
I guess the real question is, how much can he help (block for) his brother (to) win the championship, with Hunter 10 points down? Gonna be tough to make it happen. (Hunter has to win every moto)
Block who? Prado is showing some form.
Also, Jett’s not dumb. He knows when the camera is on him.
Obviously Jett cares about his brother first, but when the guy whispered into his ear what happened, I’m sure he said Hunter is fine but just DNF’d
I did see Jett catch the camera before asking loudly, is he ok though?
There is no doubt he cares about his brother first and foremost, but I thought in the moment he upped it a bit for the camera
Anyone know why Hunter didnt finish the moto?
"...before I hurt you!" 😆
It didn’t seem like anyone said Hunter was fine. I think they told him he DNF’d and then there were hand signals about him falling down a hill.
You see Jett process what they’ve told him, pause, and then ask “[Okay but] is he okay?!” And then put his hand over his heart when they said yes.
Jett’s never been accused of being a robot or anything but I thought it was a very human moment.
I don't think so. When told what happened, the first thing he said was "F@#$!". Then he asked if his bro was OK.
He's not going to say it out loud, but I don't think he really minds if Hunter wins the championship over him. I get the feeling he wants Hunter to win it.
I was behind Dave Mirra at a race and he crashed pretty hard. I stopped to make sure no one hit him.
As I typed that I realized it's pretty damn cool I got to race him. Guy had zero ego, just out racing with the boys.
That's what I was thinking also
There have been a number of races and championships where Jett has won and been sad that he beat Hunter to do it. He definitely wants Hunter to beat him and wants it to happen straight up. It’s neat.
I also think Jett wants his brother to win it. I don’t think he’d let him win or back it off, but I think deep down he wants it for Hunter more than he wants it for himself.
