I don't think the "problem" (if there is one?) has something to do with Smets...

It does look bad. The EMX250 riders won't wildcard because their season is now 13 rounds, which is allready way to many rounds. And with the oems rather supporting a potential top 3-5 effort in emx250 over guys running a partial mx2 season means that there is simply not a deep field in MX2.

Listening to the recent podcast of Matthes with Dustin Pipes he said he is looking to hire a Frenchman for outdoors. So I’m assuming it’s Paturel since he is currently in SoCal.

I feel compelled to give a shout out to Ben Watson. Probably went under the radar to most, but that Beta is not in the same league as the other factory bikes on the gate, it can’t get either him or his teammate Tom Koch out the gate at all, but he’s still charging his way forward every race. He made up 30 spots today, dead last to 14th in race one and 25th to 12th in race two. His late race pace was as good as almost anyone, I hope the teams of some of the riders he’s catching...

I dated a girl back in 1990 named Connie. My roommate at the time took great delight in referring to her as Connie Lingus. The relationship didn't last long. Yes i know where finland is. But i agree with Marco and rocketship. They now added an extra round to both EMX classes, going for 13 and 11 emx250 and emx125. It is an insane number of rounds and i expect many riders to not make the trip. What would have made a bit more sense would be: * Do Finland right after Latvia, which makes the trip a lot easier for everyone not from scandinavia/baltics * Not include EMX125 in this gp but keep them at 10 races * Have EMX250 in, but not as an extra race but...
