It's an old saying relating to the Massive Stake / Efforts involved in winning.

Comes from when the Wool and Sheep Meat industry was about he biggest  thing in OZ  - with the old saying that Australia ' rode on the sheeps back' with regards to our economy of old.. It's still pretty big, as OZ is said to supply around 40% of the Worlds Wool. 

So, "Racing For Sheep Stations " became an example of going for a hell of a prize / achievement.

We've Sheep and Cattle Stations here as big as many countries. And in good times, well, they make fortunes for the owners, be they individuals, families, or corporations.

Agriculture as a whole is still important, but 'digging holes in the ground' is the dominant thing now........ we fuggin well need to do a sh*tload more than just that. We need to value ad, and bring back / establish new industries. 

In Un Zud, the concept of Sheep Stations - well, that may be more aligned with 'Palaces of Pleasure' ............ They've strange desires across the Ditch, they do. They are, a Worry! 😅

Sacha was lucky with that prang in the Qualifier.

Faure - thought he was done for with his being attacked by that Anaconda in the 2nd EMX125 moto, but, the youngster released it's hold, got going, and got far enough up to get the overall - impressive stuff.

Petit , #446, currently running at 3rd on a YZ250 2 stroke.

250s are 250s - this decades long Bull Sh*t of no equivalency in major Championships, needs to be done with.

250Fs are absolute Weapons now - well they have been for many years now - they need No protection from those Nasty, Meany Meany 2 strokes.

Petits up to 2nd, right now - good on him.

Well, there's a good ad for Yamaha's MXers - Reisulis and Petit side by side on top of the jump, arms up, on their 2 250cc Motocross models!

1 and 2 Overall - one, the Very Latest Tech, the other, a slightly updated 2005 model............. now there's a juxtaposition on progression. 

Petit leads the series by 1 point over Reisulis.

I'm not sure if Fantic still run a 2 stroke in EMX250 - if my (feeble) memory is correct, I think they may have won the EMX250 series on their 2t FanYam , at least the once. Not sure if they've made a 250Mxer out of their 300EFI'd 2t, yet .

10 HP difference is not just a little bit. Petit has been really well no doubt about it but a 250 2 stroke has an advantage.

Meaning Geerts has more to lose considering he was a title contender since moving to MX2, Elzinga never was or will be.

Do you know much about Petit - I looked him up on Racer Xs listing, and he got 1 point in each year prior to this, in EMX250, and MX2.

Last I looked, on a listing showing both engines on the same dyno, a YZF had around 41. 'something ' HP, a YZ250 2t, had 44.'something'.

You are back a decade or so on HP comparisons. 

And, the 4t has near on an extra 4k revs to use, and, a far more manageable power delivery.

Please note : I am Not one of those (absolute) Noodles that think a 2 stroke will mop the floor with a 4 stroke - that only happened when 4ts were at the level of an XR / DR / TT  / KLR type engine. Believe you me, I was one of those 'Lunes' that made XR / CR / RM hybrids, and tilted at Windmills. I didn't do too bad, if only at Club level, but that was just down to bloody mindedness and crazed determination..........

As I said, 250Fs are absolute weapons, and have been for a long time, as are 450s - well, any Modern 4 stroke made for racing is.

What I always find hilarious , well Pathetic, is those that want the 2x capacity and 1.75x capacity advantages to remain, while, inevitably, going on about how 4ts are the best thing for MX. We just can't have those Big, Bad 2 strokes out there, with the same capacity, can we?

Without a doubt 4ts would still dominate. due to just how Bloody Good they are now, and have been for decades. , and , sheer weight of numbers. 

The "Sheltered Workshop" classing in ICE MX, needs to be gone. 

He came through the YZ Blu Cru program. He got a top ride through that but didn’t do much, I’m not sure why, maybe injuries. He has been racing the French sand racing championship the last few years so it’s a surprise to see him with the red plate.

Your mentioning the French Sand racing - when I looked him up, that's exactly what I saw the most pictures of him - Sand / Beach Racing.

** Oh, just a Note for the US Series 'Casters - that short bit just put on about Gajsers getting to 50 GP wins, with Joel Smets being interviewed about his passing 50 GP wins, is How you bloody well put  'something extra'  into  a broadcast - Not during a f**king race! **

Febvres bike started Steaming / Smoking near the end, and Malin ( and, well, anyone ) thought it was pretty bloody 'iffy'.

I had an interruption, so turned away, to then hear Malin call the blown bike. Cripes, I thought it was Febvre. 

Thankfully it was not, and the poor blighter it happened to, had it happen in a corner prang - not over one of those downhills / downhill jumps.

Febvre 'arching it up', to try to catch Tigga towards the end, was rather ballsey............

Damn mxgptv needs to fix these replays problem. Not acceptable been an issue since the first race this year . Never had issues in prior years did they change the production company? WTF!
