I stand firm, since 2018 It's not the bike. Its the rider. There isn't a single rider for Yamaha this year that I would have expected to win a race. Podium? Yes, and they did. Its not the bike. Prior to 2018, there were legitimate obstacles to winning races. 2018 going forward, there's nothing wrong with the bike. Its more than capable. >80% Rider, <20% Bike/team Always has been, always will be.

5/6/2021 8:45pm That particular engine is used in a bunch of different bikes worldwide, it may be the highest produced 250-300 on the planet. That said, these bikes are for fun and not competition. The engines make decent power, good low end torque and are very reliable. About the same price as a CRF250F but everything else is better.....except maybe resale.

I don't think anyone is doubting credibility here. Why come on a forum and tell people how wrong they are and add zero information. Why not just take the high road and be quiet like all the other insiders that read these forums. It's just an ego thing it seems like for a few members. They have to let people know they know more than you but provide nothing.

It’s one thing to get shitty starts in the 250 class and it’s entirely another to get shitty starts on a 450. Starts are his problem not the bike.
