VW would be the exact thought I have too. Almost like a duo-tone type of sound. Very different for sure. Doesn't sound correct to me, but IDK.

12/14/2020 3:08pm To me those bikes sound like no other. Kind of a VW buggy sound. I've never noticed the 450 sounding much different than other 450's, but the YZ250F definitely sounds different than other 250's. You really notice it when they are going up hills.

This kid, I can tell you with certainty, is only making 1 less digit per year. He's a factory rider just like the other guys, and there's no excuse for this. I race against him man, and I hate this kid. There are better youth riders but he gets all the hype. Kids like Daxton Bennick and Casey Cochran deserve some love too. He's been racing around 10 years now, as have I, and as a lower ranking amature if I know not to cut the track, he should.

Great interview. Dylan had Covid and still has side effects from it. Says that he can ride the 450 longer because he doesn't have to use as much energy compared to the 250. Already feels comfortable on the bike, but doesn't have any expectations for his 1st year just like he had no expectations for his first year in 250.
