I dont want to be bitching but Id just like a quality show to watch. Lots of motorsports have actual quality broadcasts. Moto not so much, and they wonder why the sport doesn’t grow. It’s an embarrassing depiction of the sports participants. Yeah I know we are mostly red necks but come on. Not personally trying to hate on RC, but we need better for the rest of the world to hear if bringing more people in is the goal. And I’m not even sure that’s the goal .

Dude is awesome. But not as an announcer. Broadcast personality or whatever his title is. Not going to school is great for racing but not so beneficial when it comes to sounding knowledgeable or educated. Not saying I could do better, but I do something different for work.

It's amazing because I don't mind listening to him and RV on the podcast but he's awful on TV. I feel the opposite about James. Can't really watch his pod but he is great in the booth.

This. I stopped scrolling after i saw that. But to be fair, i think these lists are made in purpose like this so that they generate clicks and buzz. That is why you can't take it seriously in any manner.

Most people don’t look at long distance runners as great athletes, they look at them as guys who run a lot. I don’t think Hamilton or Schumacher should be on a list of great athletes either. They’re fit for sure, but not athletic. Here’s the thing, if the majority of Americans put in the work, they could be every bit as fit as a guy like Deegan, but they will never run a 4:3 40, or dunk a basketball. Yes, there are some outliers, JMart, and Eli that are just cardio freaks, and maybe there is more guys like RJ...

Bro, let me dumb it down for you, pro riders are not very athletic, but some are in great shape.

The slow lineman are in the 5:30 range. I’d say that pretty damn fast for a 350 pound man that benches 375 pounds. I agree Martin, and Tomac both are incredible endurance athletes, they’d both probably do well in cycling. Sexton will never be able to run or jump like Bolt, but I’d bet a million dollars Bolt could train to get his heart rate there.

My point is this, most guys that post here think that pros are phenomenal athletes, they’re not. Some are phenomenal endurance athletes, which imo is different. The butt hurt that causes is laughable.

At the tip of the spear, in any sport, the fitness regimen is ultra specific. A 350lb lineman trains to be able to deal with another 350lb dude...plus be able to sprint 40 yards at a pretty good clip. His training regimen targets those needs. A racer trains for stamina, flexibility, core strength. We've all seen videos of what they all do. Comparing a football to baseball to fighter to tennis to moto athlete and then ranking them regardless of discipline is absurd. Pick the top athlete from each discipline and then use whatever yardstick you choose to determine #1...
