One of the greatest mysteries in motocross is why Honda killed the CR125 engine. In ‘94 Henry and Lamson’s Cr125’s were 40.5hp and 18:9 lb-ft torque. I personally saw the dyno pulls. Bill’s pipes and Cliff White worked together during that time and they had those bikes working well. The cylinder work required to achieve this was rather involved. The exhaust port was raised significantly which required new HPP valves which were obviously 2mm higher. If you tried to raise the exhaust port by that much, the port was too tall and the stock power valve wouldn’t seal. I know...

If your running a Keihin carb the STIC metering block makes a good gain especially on top with better over rev but you will have to run some good fuel and spend time dialing it in. I ran one on a 07 and it really made a difference. I'm in the process of building a 6mm long rod 144, hopefully...

If they really drop 8lbs that's close to having 1 free horsepower. A good start for Honda on the 2022

To make 54 hp with a 250F i would say around 15,500 RPM's or higher. It would take around 18.5 ft lbs of torque at that RPM to put it around 54 HP which is pretty impressive. 22 ft lbs would be the max torque at a lower RPM.
2020 has Yosh exhaust, XPR vortex, recluse torque drive clutch, stock gearing and back fire screen removed made a pretty significant difference. Picks up much sooner on the bottom and revs out hard to the increased 14,600 limiter, can use 3rd in most turns except for tight 180's. Too bad they don't come this way stock. I rode a 18...

When my bike was stock I didn't feel it was a slow bike but the lack low end torque was noticeable. You had to keep momentum through turns. A re-mapped vortex, Yosh exh. air filter screen delete, good fuel and a Recluse torque drive clutch helped mine quite a bit. Picks up sooner and stronger through out the whole rev...

Whatever you do, do not sleeve. You will loose a lot of power especially if the ports are pretty far off. I once replaced a sleeved cylinder with a brand new OEM cylinder on a 98 YZ 125 and it was night and day difference on how much stronger the bike was. On the sleeved cylinder it felt like a...

This started happening to my neighbors 18 yzf450. Picked up the bike used in excellent condition with 5 original hours on it. Bike was solid for about 15-20 motos of practice then just started dying mid moto for no reason but would always start back right back up. Sometimes it would be fine for 2-3 days with no issues. Checked...

I really like mine, great ergos and handling. Suspension pretty good out the box, turns much better and less busy at speed then the last Gen. What I noticed the most over my 14 is it follows a rutted turn a lot better no knifing or tucking. I put on Yosh exhaust, removed filter screen and trying out a mapped...
