It only works cause of the amount of money to be made. Not saying it’s not working or not good but if the nbc money goes away smx will be a weird 5-10 year blip on the radar.

I was skeptical at first. It seemed like a cheap strange offshoot and the term supermotocross still feels out of touch, but I’m looking forward to the final 3 SMX rounds very much. From what I hear in podcasts and interviews the riders are prioritizing showing up and finishing well too. For all the skepticism, I’m happy to say that it really worked and is something really cool.

There’s currently no factory Triumph 450 effort either side of the Atlantic, meanwhile a privateer has been doing very well in the Aussie series- fastest qualifier on the weekend.

Swolls my boy, but Idk bout throwing him onto a 450 just yet, I don’t want to see him wad his brains out on one lol I’d like to see Smith move up too, I think he’d run too 10s in sx on the 450 all day long, but if he’s been on a 250 this long he might as well give it one last shot next year. I thought he signed a 3 year deal with 2 years on a 250 and one on a 450, unless the 3rd year is an option on Triumphs end. I would think...

Remember when Ping referred to Tickles future ex-wife as "Orange Girl" in a review pod with Mathess. Then the next week he wasn't on the review pod and Weege said Ping "Was on assignment" . Cleary Davey had given him a timeout for that comment. 😄

I'd say most folks today think that Moto is a USA sport, not realizing it was imported from Europe and Roger probably more than anyone else is responsible for establishing Moto to what it is today in the U.S. Just typical of History...most currently players think they are the sport and ignorant of the people before them. I know we talk about Hannah and the greats in this forum, but there were a lot of great riders before the 80's too.

I’m 24 and met Roger in the pits after Tampa SX this year and it was one of the only times I’ve really felt star struck. He talked with me and a friend for as long as we wanted and was cool as can be. Roger’s a legend, definitely on my Mount Rushmore of Motocross.

What impresses you the most, specifically? Paturel : Mainly just the speed. Last weekend, I qualified 13th. I think I was within a second of the top 10, and Jett was still six seconds a lap faster than me. And I was riding really well. You end up wondering where he finds those six seconds. The tracks are bigger, so the gaps are naturally bigger, but still—raw speed-wise, it’s fast. People talk about Jorge Prado, but Jorge rides very well. Even if it’s tough for him, he’s battling. The thing is, the pace at the front is just crazy.
