Is Jordan Smith going to be the sole 450 rider next year?

Yes, he will be the soul of the 450 team.

Damn they might as well keep him down for one more year and try to tame the beast, at least for the west coast. Let him run some 450 races on the east and put him on a 450 outdoors. Let Forkner get his feet wet on a 450 on the west coast and gear him up for the east coast title fight.

I want to see Smith move up, but I really like the idea of Forkner and/or Swoll riding a 450 on the opposite coast. Seems like they'd want all of the testing feedback they could get on a brand new bike.

Swolls my boy, but Idk bout throwing him onto a 450 just yet, I don’t want to see him wad his brains out on one lol I’d like to see Smith move up too, I think he’d run too 10s in sx on the 450 all day long, but if he’s been on a 250 this long he might as well give it one last shot next year. I thought he signed a 3 year deal with 2 years on a 250 and one on a 450, unless the 3rd year is an option on Triumphs end. I would think Smith would be their best option for a 250 sx title next year unless Forkner finds his true form.

100% agreed. Swoll should be 250 focused. It would be really cool to see the more senior members of the team step up for a round or two of 450 experience on their opposite coast.

It wouldn't hurt to run the new triumph 450 through the paces of a sx main event without any sort of championship or points expectation. Just get some gate drops under their belt.

I am also a Swoll fan but putting that kid on a 450 right now would be grounds for manslaughter charges lol.

Wild speculation, but in a recent interview with Glenn Coldenhoff he said he had some offers/interest from team/s to race in the US. I wonder if Triumph was one of them?

I think that would be outdoors only though

I never put those two pieces together, that would be so cool. I know it’s probably very unlikely but it would be sick to see a #259 back ripping in the 450 class

There’s currently no factory Triumph 450 effort either side of the Atlantic, meanwhile a privateer has been doing very well in the Aussie series- fastest qualifier on the weekend.

How many of us would have said the same thing about RJ, and he’s kicking ass this summer. Granted, outdoors isn’t SX, but I think Swoll would do alright.

Swoll has barely been healthy. RJ tucks the front a lot but he’s been mostly healthy and won a championship.

Well I don’t necessarily disagree with you, I will say; RJ is much older, been crashing a lot longer and knows how to crash better!

Jokes aside, I don’t disagree fully but I still think Swoll is more of a violent crasher than RJ right now.

I was thinking maybe the HEP team for outdoors only. I think I read that Vlaanderen is in talks with them too. Would make sense if HEP has Roczen and Anderson on SX only deals.

Paturel could stay with HEP Suzuki for 2026 (Outdoors only).
