Seems like we went pretty far in two directions regarding factories hiring 250 riders 5-10 years ago they got rid of any second or third years that weren't capable of winning and hired the next best things from amateurs, usually 2 a year or so. Then the last 5 years it's swung the other way, keep the older more experienced 250 guys in the class longer and try to mold them in to a position to win. First off, there’s a difference between a “Journalist” and a “Content Creator”. Very few journalists and too many content creators.

I’m not one to defend our series typically but their very recent champion Prado is having a bit of a tough time proving that they’re that much better.

So maybe everyone complaining (rightfully so) that the amateur system is broke and not preparing kids properly for the pros are correct, Kawasaki agrees, and is thus "voting with their wallet" and not willing to put in the time, money, and effort to support a failing system anymore?
