The huge difference with electric dirt bikes is that ameteur racing is a large part of the sport. I don't know anyone that races F1, MotoGP, WRC as an ametuer. I'm sure there are a couple of people, but it's not comparable to motocross. Even at lower level, open wheel car racing, roadracing motorcycles, rally cars have a very small number of participants compared to motocross, GNCC, desert racing, etc. Second, to my knowledge they aren't trying to shut down F1 or MotoGP tracks due to sound, for the reason that they run races a few times a year, instead...

Thats great, but the thing that most of the money that funds those races are not ticket sales. Or tv numbers. Its a combination of maunfactures wanting to sell bikes and advertise them by racing people that want to race sinking money in and the money the fans spend. Pro racing as we know it would not be the same if tat wasnt the case. And with noise being one of the biggest issues for any riding area, it could help grow the numbers of real people riding. A few years ago I had some friends and customers that got...

I’m not watching an all Electric class national or Supercross. I’m sorry, but sound has SO MUCH to do with it. Look at Formula E.

It's amazing to see how grossly lying about everything is slowly becoming the dominant way of managing human interactions.

So nobody is going to mention the photo finish of Brown and Shorty ? Unbelievable finish, regardless of your opinion on what class they should be racing.

The same way everyone else does, just with a big #1 medal around their neck because they were the fastest guy in their class at the track.

Because the same guys complaining on here have absolutely no shot of qualifying for those classes.

Vet 30+ and Vet 45+ exclude anyone who has ever earned an AMA professional point. I don't understand why this is not good enough for some of you.

Man I wish him luck. Did two of those races. Both within 30min of getting the big buckle for a sub 8hr time. Two of the hardest days in my life. But... That long ass downhill run coming down from the halfway point at the Columbine mine was worth it. You can train all you want, that race kicks your ass.

Look, if we all got together and sat around a campfire we'd all be really close in what we want out of government, but what this has turned into is a fucking football game {or boxing match) where we just pick sides hoping "our team wins", when in reality it's us against them. Ain't no politician in this country with any real power that is going to save us.

The powers that be in the pro sports part of our sport have made a decision to make our sport a spectator rather than participant based sport. Dangerous tracks, expensive complicated machines, etc.. Nobody would go to the circus or zoo if everyone had an elephant in their neighborhood.

I'm actually curious about the timeline because many MXGP contracts run longer than US contracts into the off-season. So I'm really curious to see when it gets announced. Somehow in all other motorsports, moves can be announced a year or more in advanced! But not in our little niche ass-backwards sport.
