12/11/2025 7:23pm That's great! I still have hope then! I'm 37, and in the last couple years, the weight only seems to add and never subtract. That is really on me though and just being lazy about it. Thanks for the kick in the ass!

12/11/2025 11:59am This is the best encouragement we can give to our moto brothers. I am short, only 5’5. I quit riding around 09 and gained so much weight. Boredom, depression, no hobby like MX. In 2023 I was at my worst. 247LB. I ruptured 3 discs and budged 2 others in a work accident. I was fat, injured, helpless. I hated feeling that way, like a burden to my wife and kids. While recovering from surgery I was reading the 2023 450 shootout and told myself it was time to ride again. I needed motivation to get off of the couch...

12/11/2025 11:54am I’ve dropped over 80lb over the last year. I just hit what I originally thought was my goal weight, but it certainly appears another 20-25 would be doable. The one thing I certainly do not want to do is try to lose weight in season next year. Being over 45, it’s all my body could handle to recover from each race weekend. Very good chance that I can continue to drop excess weight while properly fueling for training and races. Last year at this time, my training load was 3-5hr a week. This year I’m hitting 8-10hr and not even...

12/11/2025 11:53am Way to go man! I'm 5-10 and a decade older then you but I felt 165 was my optimum weight also. What i also like in your post is the $150 stationary bike. I lost a bunch of weight in 2001 by riding an 11 year old schwin bicycle every day after work. Just gotta get the heart rate up for a bit. And eat less. It can be simple.

12/11/2025 11:51am Thanks, brother! Haha...that was the most frustrating part of losing weight! I would buy new clothes and 1 month later, they wouldn't fit! I went from 36"-38" waist to 30" waist now...so I have a bunch of 34 jeans that don't fit and are like new. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I have this problem, but it was a...

12/11/2025 11:42am That is very impressive, 76 pounds or there about. Took a lot of dedication and guess 4-5 different sets of clothes along the way but worth it.

12/11/2025 11:42am Thats awesome! Very impressive. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you now when you lost all the weight? You're going to have to change your username along with spring weights!

12/11/2025 10:50am I was 241 lbs. on February 10th of this year...I just hit 165 lbs. yesterday. The majority of the weight was lost in the first 3-4 months, but it's been much harder to lose the last 10 lbs. I'm 5'10" and 46 years old, so I think 165 lbs is a good place to stop. I feel better now than...

12/9/2025 1:07pm Motocross is basically free compared to most motorsport. I spend more in 2 rounds of road racing than a season of mx.

12/9/2025 12:38pm The problem all around isn’t necessarily the inflation it is the fact that salaries have not kept up for decades.

12/9/2025 5:31am Do you hammer the gears and clutch? Unless you plan on dramatically increasing the hours next year (and don't want to touch it until next winter), I'd just leave it alone. 16 hours isn't much for a Vet rider, on a top end.

12/8/2025 6:28am I have a little info on this. Ross / Enzo has supported the team since the early day. At first this was with testing, service, and components (they bought some stuff, as every factory level team dos). Eventually the team brought on an in-house tech as it grew. Drew Hopkins was the first I believe…maybe around 2013? Soemthing like that. Ross still helped with setting and component advice, helped source stuff from KYB, occasionally assisted in testing when requested. The team has continued to grow and has since added more techs. I think the 250 team has two right now...

12/8/2025 5:54am I have a 25 300SX, also have 150 hrs on my 23 300sx…Based off my previous experience on the new 300 platform I went straight to my 14-50 gearing…. I could make the 49 work but often found myself between 2nd & 3rd, the 50 rear allowed me to use 3rd as my main gear for most situations…I ride mostly Mx with some Gncc type woods loops…now with that said…after my WMR reflash of stock EcU …I could probably use the 49 rear on a hardpack or intermediate track. I ride mostly sand or deep disced dirt, so I will...
