Felds marketing team then approaches your sponsor with a variation of, "when that rider gets hurt, your logo on their shroud isn't getting any screen time. We can offer you much more exposure on the stadium banner/signage and jumbotron than you'll ever get on the side of one of those bikes." Eventually they side with Feld and end up spinning around the stadium banner, just like GEICO...

Removing holeshot devices and the start grates will help.

This. So many of the variables have been removed from the race to the first turn that there's very little separation between the riders when they arrive. Remove all the aids (traction control, starting devices, grates, starting maps, etc.) and this will return the variability and spread out the field. It will also show who has the skill and who has been leaning on the aids. And isn't the skill what we're trying to measure between the gate drop and checkered flag?

Imo the combination of 40 rider gates, modern bikes that are so easy to launch, and metal grids means you have a tight cluster of riders all staying pretty even, which is a recipe for carnage when the track goes from being wide enough for 40 to wide enough for 10. I doubt that there is a solution without a trade off, but fewer riders would be one option as would making starts trickier to slow riders down in general and get more separation. Banning starting devices would probably help a little.

Can someone at the track either take away this dudes chainsaw or at least move him away from the freaking mics? I don't want to hear a stuttering chainsaw, I want to hear bikes. It's constant and it would absolutely turn away any potential viewers bc it is annoying af.

I feel like an old guy yelling at clouds, but time to ban that shit. I think it took a few days to confirm Jett’s acl. There is generally a lot of swelling involved in that injury and they often wait for it to go down before getting a good diagnosis.

Whatever the rules are, that chainsaw guy needed a slap upside the head, fricking overwhelming on the broadcast. Confiscate the "noise making device" and have security evict the guy there and then. Fuck em.
