mfowler Added a reply to Beaverton OR?
6/22/2011 7:57pm Oh, I do, believe me. TNMX at PIR is never any fun, and that Washougal place is not even real motocross, stupid uphills and downhills, off-camber turns. Ugly setting, too. Stay away.

6/22/2011 8:12am The Northwest is a horrible place. Don't move there. You'll hate it.

6/4/2011 11:15am Robert Haag rebuilt an old pair of Konis for me last year. I'm very happy with his work. Great guy to deal with. DG, you have a great project going, thanks for sharing.

mfowler Added a reply to Pourcel testing a yamaha today
4/21/2011 3:38pm Another genius' attempt at humor....fail. We should all be glad to see Pourcel riding anything. He'd make a Hodaka look smooth.

3/6/2011 6:58pm Haven't watched that vid in a long time. While I don't want to advocate intentionally ghosting your bike over a jump, I find Deegan's interview a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of today's young riders. Also really amazing that Windham was already a top rider back then; anybody else on that gate still racing Pro?

3/6/2011 4:43pm "Again, as someone else mentioned, Short was fourth, not third...but that's his best of the year, and the best for a 350. Short has also changed up his riding style considerably to take advantage of the bike." Mr. G...Could you elaborate a little on this?
mfowler Added a reply to Losing Weight
2/24/2011 5:58pm Sometime in the early or mid 70s MXA had an article about a guy who built a 176 lb CZ. Can't remember what CC it was, someone here might have a copy of that issue.

2/17/2011 4:50pm "either waste it on dirt bikes or gambling, drugs, alcohol, whats the difference." I've never thought of money spent on any of those items as being wasted.
mfowler Added a reply to Baja update
11/20/2010 9:19am Having owned a few Hondas, and loving them, I have to say it seemed Honda could never win Baja while Kawasaki was still running with the mighty KX500. They've been on a roll lately though. Congrats to all the finishers.
mfowler Added a reply to Husky/Leib
11/8/2010 6:53pm I hope Leib has a super season. He's following in the footsteps of some great Americans riding Huskys in the GPs: Mark Blackwell, Billy Clements, Brad Lackey, Mike Guerra... I'm probably missing some here. Yeah, the bikes are made in Italy, it's a different era, BMW, four strokes, blahblahblah. I still say it's a great opportunity for a young American...
mfowler Added a reply to My God, what have we done?
10/19/2010 9:09pm Well, I don't know about the 'idoits', but I think most of the people involved in major decision making for this sport are probably pretty smart people. Doesn't mean I agree with many of their decisions, but they do what they perceive to be in their best interest. That's what most people do. How can you blame them for that...

mfowler Added a reply to Bumper racks for hauling the bike?
8/10/2010 6:42pm I have a motojack rack, pretty much identical to the one in the photo above. Bought it on craigslist for about $100 and Iove it. Use it on my Ford F150 with a camper shell, all gear, tools, etc. locked up and dry. Have even hauled my BRP (XR600) on it, no problem. I use a couple of tie downs...
