Welcome, we are so happy to have you here. I hope you find your days here pleasurable and fulfilling. The alumni here want nothing more than to give you a great big "Howdy partner". Here's a picture of some bunnies.
Ugh. That may be more sickening than a hearty STFU noob.

I was a paying member of MT for a few years. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to sponsor the RacerX gas card at Atlanta because of MT and RacerX. That you-call-it, you-claim-it game was intense! Was a very cool way for an outsider to have an insider experience at the races and contribute to the sport in a more direct way. Wish someone could bring something like that back.

At one time noobs took a little hazing there too.

I'm new here, let me have it. Wink

TFS was good at kicking the crap off the board of people that needed to be gone.

FTE, should we start hanging scalps, so people know how many we go through? Smile

I think it's been past the point of no return for a while now, unfortunately.

I'm sure it's more than Steve ever did. When a house is tidy, no one appreciates the work behind that.

More people, more jerks, especially if it's easy to sign up. Just a fact of life. I'm not sure the "I like the peace and quiet" crew realize it's not that they're better fans, rather than just fewer. Sometimes you can't eat your cake and have it, too.

My MT memories are fantastic; it's not worth paying for now, however, and what made it worth it (or not to some people) was a product of its times and not likely to be recreated.

Amen! I've been trying to get that same point out on supercross and monster and individual riders on face book! Apparently we our not the norm in our thinking! have a great day and I am all about setting examples for our kids and i would be ashamed for my kids to read half of these people's posts..

It is a place to come and hang out and BS about moto/the sport/etc...joke with each other and all that fun stuff.
When someone gets out of line...they get kicked out (things taken on a case by case basis).
If you ever read this place or come on here on race nights....then you understand what I mean.
People coming on here having a few drinks and following the races,etc.... Smile

However,it would be really cool to have a kids only section of the forum
,to where kids can only post (that was highly moderated by some moto parents to where it was kept G-Rated -all safe search approved etc..).
Maybe even have some of the pro riders pop in from time to time and answer the kids questions etc..(you never know... some of the riders might enjoy doing something like this from time to time).

fast eddy...thats a good idea. that would be pretty cool for the kids to have pros pop in and answer some questions. only problem i have with the current events within the cyber/moto industry is who is REALLY behind the keyboard?? lol

For online safety, just off the top of my head....
You would obviously have to disable the private message feature on the accounts of minors (that way there is no private contact).Along with strict rules of sharing no personal information (phone numbers & emails that sort of stuff).
It would have to be heavily moderated on the back-end,along with parents keeping tabs on their children's posts.
I'm sure there are some type of kids only forums out there that have worked....
But good security/moderating would be the biggest key, unlike social networks or gaming type sites.
