Pretty sure by the time Richter rode them they were badged as KTM. I remember watching him at the Sears Point TransAm in I think '76 on those big white beasts. Not sure if it was a factory effort or shop based; Pacific Performance ring a bell? First time I saw Magoo he was on one also, putting on a...

Yeah, things are pretty good here. Been off the bike for a while, was up at Straddleline year and a half ago and shattered an ankle. Looking to start riding again. I'll look for you at MMX soon. Can't make it to PC this Sunday. Maybe head to the Fern next month?

Make up a sign that says "Hangtown" and stand on the 80 Freeway? Got to be lots of folks coming up from the Bay Area. Good luck, going to be some great racing tomorrow.

I seem to recall pictures of DeCoster and Rolf Tibblin wearing some kind of helmet cam, but this is going back a ways and it's all a bit fuzzy. Almost have to be from Carlsbad. I bet Jody would know.

Wow, unbelievable. Washougal is one of the best tracks on the West Coast, along with Honey Lake, Glen Helen, Mammoth, and Zaca Station. Maybe you should take up flat track, I hear it's making a comeback. And I like flat track, but it ain't MotoCross.

Cool pic. The early 70's was such a great time to be involved in MX. Just a completely different scene than today. HaHa, when I hear the name "Gary Semics" I still think "Husky rider". Nice to see you posting one here.

The first time I ever saw Dick Mann was in about 1975 at the 10th Street track in Marysville, NorCal. This was the track that is now called Riverfront, back before the floods had washed all the sand away. It was a rough, whooped-out, nasty beast of a track. Nothing at all like what is there today. I was just...
