Mickey did pretty good in the Nat's until he got black balled. Tony was a beast on that big Maico. Don't forget Sam Dayton too!

Ben Riddle. I know he made it to the pro's for a bit, but watching him at the local races was truly an amazing sight to see. I never will forget watching him quad the supercross six at Daniel Boone for one of the 4 stroke national races. Dude had some serious skills.

Drew Kain. I used to watch him in the early 2000's at Thundercross in Okeechobee FL and it was unreal how fast he was. His last year at Loretta's he was top 15 in both A classes but I do not think he ever really made the jump to the pros.

I always think of him when people talk bad about top 20 guys in the pro ranks and realize that as fast as Kain was that there are even faster guys who somehow get mocked for not being good enough.

There was another guy in Norcal, in the mid 70s , Name; Alex Jorgenson, that was primaraly a smooth track rider with high National numbers. He would show up at Dixon about 3-4 times a year and smoke on one of those evil Can-Ams......It was embarrasing for the regulars.

Supermoto somewhat justified it but:

Mark Burkhart

His cornering flow was impeccable.

Jimmy Anderson was a bad dude, maybe too bad. Maybe that's why he never got the ride he deserved.
6th in '84 125 nationals lots of 4th and 5th place finishes.

Heros too strong of a word but...

I really enjoyed watching Lance Smail ride his RM125 90-91 seasons. Also, I always like the way Grayson Hart carried himself. Somehow I ended up parking next to him at a few pac-west races and he and his mechanic always seemed like good guys.
