We've killed the 125 class. I just watched parts 1-12 of the '96 Nationals. Not bagging on four-strokes or today's riders, but I don't think we've seen racing like this for a while.

It sounds like shit, smells like shit, and the money is shit, except for a few elite pros, and even then it is shit for the risk.
I do keep hearing of more and more guys swithching back to used two strokes, it's either quit the sport or step back to an affordable bike to own and maintain.
The good news is that there are a few years supply of quality used bikes out there (two and four strokes) to keep this sport cheap for those of us that don't need the latest greatest.
Stay off the consumer treadmill and moto is by far the cheapest motorsport available.
I've got two showroom condition bikes(when I bought them) for $3,500 total, 2005 CRF250 ($2,000)and an 2004 RM125 ($1,500) They've got several years of life left in them and they are still very competitive at the local level.
I'll get my 2010 model in 2015

It was sweet, sweet music and the racing was awesome, both days.
All of the idoits that made the decisions that allowed the slow death of two strokes should be named on a list somewhere as enemies of our sport, then they should disappear, never to be discovered.
I can see both sides of it. Ultimately we can only blame eachother, it's up to individual people to decide what they choose to go out and buy. Unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) it's the nature of the sport to seek out every possible advantage towards generating more speed. Once electric bikes get good enough and then eventually better than their combustion counterparts, almost everyone will be switching over to them and so it goes on. Aside from my 450, Iv'e still kept my very first bike, a YZ 125. Hope to get her running again next year.
Don't panic - not only do I have a plan - but I think we very may well might be having a TWO-
STROKE NATIONAL in Ohio next September.
So, cool your expansion chambers, mix up a cocktail in your Ratio-Rites and
chillax, my brothers and sisters.
Long live the braapness !

the pinger before the snow flies. I know you guys will do this two stroke national

Whats the big deal?
Pit Row
x100
nothin like shifting 1st screaming through fourth from a corner to a jump! replacing top ends, is the only downfall, but it's hella cheaper than a 250f!
Every buyer of every new yzf, crf, rmz, kxf, sx-f, or any other 4 stroke motocross bike.
the AMA and its rule makers
the FIM and its rule makers
the manufacturers and aftermarket.
Anyone else we should thank for making the sport we love louder, more expensive, and more dangerous?

Once the list is finalized, where should the 40 or 50 copies of that list be sent to?
