12/16/2021 7:32pm If nothing else, I admire the remarkably consistent negativity of your commentary, although it does make me wonder, with that "glass half empty" attitude you've got, how you could possibly perceive the risk/reward factor of motocross racing as an equation worth embracing. I mean, what are your thoughts as the gate falls? Is it, "Hey, I probably won't live past the first corner, as I'll likely die from a handlebar impalement through the right ventricle from the guy next to me, but what the hell, I've lived too long already, so let's go meet The Reaper!!!""? But anyhoo, I think...

9/25/2021 3:21am Anyway I'll move on. This is technically my first job or customer build I've done, a fairly beat 98' CR250. I've built bikes back when I was completely caught up in the mini scene when I was a teenager and my own bikes but I've learnt a hell of a lot more while doing this bike, especially since its someone else's dime, property and expectations. Vapour blasted all the good stuff, except for the engine cases. I did split the engine mainly just for inspection purposes, wish we were able to get the cases blasted but we tried to squeeze...

9/25/2021 3:20am Very nice. I just picked up a 97 YZ250 last week and have begun the refresh on it. I’m taking pictures of progress along the way and I’ll do a thread on it when it’s rolling. Hope to get some fall riding with it this year yet.

yz133rider Liked a reply to forum topic New bike tomorrow.. 350 or 450
4/30/2021 9:17am So I’ve had 350s before and am on a gasgas 450 now and the gasgas is so easy to ride. The power is so mellow but still has the low end grunt to get over obstacles. Because of the low end power and ability to pull 3rd nearly everywhere I find it even easier and less tiring than a 350. I would have voted 350 every time before but this slightly mellower and softer gasgas is really really good. They are all so good now though that I don’t think you can go wrong either way. If you like to...

1/12/2021 1:41pm I have a close neighbor with a special needs child and my neighborhood is like a speakerbox the way the sound carries. You can hear conversations a long ways. I have kids intern here and they all say it and I have to tell them to please not say that. On another note, why do words hurt so much more now than any other generation ever, and why does everyone need to know everyone else's status, identity, religion, belief? How did we de evolve into such weakness? Why do I have to not only except you quietly but I am...

AJ Liked a reply to forum topic Is the CR500 the only bike that could be competitive 20 years later?
12/17/2020 8:16pm My crew and I have made about 6,000 conversions over the last 23 years. The bulk of that was indeed CR500AF. However I've done several hundred KX500AF bikes as well. Just did 2 this past few weeks. Ive raced both conversion types a lot. They are honestly not much different. Keep in mind I use CRF250R chassis for CR500AF and kxf250 chassis for KX500AF so the only difference is engine/pipes. Stock vs stock The kx5 has a bit more over rev ,possibly a tad more peak hp due to that. The cr5 has more low to mid and a stronger...

12/12/2020 10:31pm Just purchased a 2021 Gas Gas MC125 for my son for Christmas. Picking the bike up next Saturday, so I can put it under the Christmas tree. I’m so excited for him, can’t wait. I’ll post more photo’s when we get it. I’ll also give a ride review, when he finally throws a leg over it. Just had to post this.

Nick Hagman Liked a forum topic Mechanimations - 1993 KX250 Engine Rebuild Video
12/9/2020 4:27pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrrkDxsRKlA Well this one took a hell of a lot longer than expected, but here it is Vital: the 1993 KX250 engine rebuild done in "Mechanimation" style. Some of you may remember that this all started nearly 3 years ago with the shock rebuild video, followed by the KX250 disassembly and Fork rebuild videos. This video takes what I learned from those and ups the game to be a short film complete with a storyline, characters, and original film score. I am very happy with how it turned out. My best estimate is that between set up, shooting, recording sound...

11/8/2020 7:48am It really did. I can't believe how well it turned out. It was THE bike my dad got me and I just surprised him with it this weekend. I had him watch a few old videos with me racing back in 88-93 on it. I then handed him the flyer and was like "man wouldn't it be cool to have that bike back". Look at this flyer! Then I asked him to help bring some stuff in from my truck and there is was. I parked it on the sidewalk as soon as he walked out. He was stunned .It...

7/8/2020 4:06pm Lol what? I've done tons of GNCCs. Reed is a world class athlete. His endurance would be perfectly fine. Do you think the 400 something average Joe's that sign up for a GNCC every round is in better shape than Chad Reed? The guys job is literally to ride a dirt bike and train. Maybe if you rephrase it and say he couldn't run the speeds of the top dogs for 3+ hours I'll get on board with you. But you're insane if you think he doesn't have the endurance to do a race and finish it.
