I like Weege but the way people put him on a pedestal of greatness is weird. It’s like they enjoy his shrieking during the broadcast anytime something happens and poo poo his deflection of any ideas to improve the production of this sport.

The thing with Hunter is that he is that good because he and Jett have a dialed program together. Do we think Hunter performs the same on a different team riding on his own? I personally don't and the whole team/family crew is probably also aware of that. Or do you think them being on different teams and still doing everything together would just work as good? What they have currently makes both of them better imo.

Dean Wilson had a terrific night. 2nd overall with a 2-3. Really strong super pole effort. Dude was impressive.

Chase definitely had some setup issues with the Honda, as he has had (and will) with every bike he rides - he's extremely picky and sensitive to bike setup. However, I don't know why everyone frames his move from Honda to KTM as being due to his disdain for the bike. It was pretty clearly due to the writing on the wall at HRC that Jett was the #1 guy moving forward, and frankly, Chase is too good of a rider to be a #2 guy. He wanted to be the main focus of his team, which is completely justifiable.

I disagree completely. I think most American moto journalists just don’t think about it. Clearly, Malcolm’s not worried about it, and the AMA hasn’t stepped in either.

Weird talk but whatever, I remember hearing in an interview after a SX this year with a brutal sand section that it was a nightmare to get the sand out of his hair.. The dreads out the back of the helmet is kinda his trademark

Putting Chase on the most stable and predictable chassis will certainly help even him out. I don't for one second believe that the KX isn't capable of winning Championships. Chase riding at 97% instead of 100% pace on a stable bike, paired with him in a better head space, that's the perfect recipe.

He looked sketchy in the whoops a couple times, but it didn’t seem to bother him, he continued to skim, which tells me he trusts the bike..

I don't think Jett had anything for Mookie tonight. First lap Mookie was 7th, Jett 6th, Hunter 5th, Cooper 3rd. Mookie needed one lap to get around Jett, a couple of laps to get in front of Hunter, then lead the race from lap 9. In those first 9 laps (half race distance), Mookie overcome the brothers and gaped them by 6 s (Jett) and 9 s (Hunter). That's where Jett lost the race. The lappers just prevented him to get over Cooper for 2nd right at the end but by that time Mookie was long gone.

I am not here to stick up for MXA but I will mention a couple things just cause I probably have contradicted myself as well a time or two. I am also for a “slower” YZ450 for 26 but the word “slower” maybe shouldn’t be used because it’s still fast. I personally don’t give a shit about dyno’s when I’m testing. I know they are needed for engineers but for opinion based testing (or blind testing), feeling is what is needed.
