That was one of the best interviews in a long while. One of the most revealing things I learned was his long term commitment to the sport. The heartbreak of the passing of one of his riders early in his career. How he was both demanding and caring (i.e. college tuition), how he didn't have children but treated all of his riders like family. Even if you don't like Gypsy (for whatever reason), you ought to listen to this podcast to get a perspective of how he became both successful professionally and contributed decades of growth to the sport.

Remember fellas, +3dB is twice the sound energy. Cutting 6dB from say, 105 to 99 is a massive reduction in how far sound carries.

I’ll ask again, why do we need loud bikes? It’s been proven they can make decent hp at lower db limits so why damage our hearing for no reason?

It doesn't matter. Chase is talented enough to win on anything. He's also mental enough to lose on anything. Let him change everything every week if that's what gets him to be confident chase instead of dirt sampling chase. The actual setup barely matters at this point. I also remain convinced he'd be better off if his dad just sat in the stands and drank beer and let the team deal with the emotional roller coaster instead of always being there and turning it up to 11. But it's just a guess.
