anytime he is pressured, he starts playing games, gets frantic, and pulls a brain fart. The brake checking, weaving back/forth, looking back, riding ultra defensive... You think 450 guys are gonna play around w/ that? Until he races FORWARD, he's going to find himself picking up his bike. A LOT.

Surron kids aren't becoming MX kids. The other way around, if anything. Kids ride surrons for the social aspect, hanging out with their buds, making IG reels, and because they can ride right from their house and rip around their town. They aren't interested in paying a bunch of money, waking up early on the weekends and driving long distances to go ride in circles at some place in the middle of nowhere. Also, the surron fad is going to suffer as more and more towns/cities are starting to crack down heavily on them. There was a period where they...

I'd rather purchase the RM-Z full rip than buy one of these even if they're half the price.

So Cal in the 70’s it was all over the place. Most day races I’d guess 10-15 mins, Saddleback Saturday I believe had 30 min motos. night races were quick. Indian Dunes and Corona I am guessing 8-10 mins, Irwindale was a sprint. It’s been 50 years but if I remember right we went 2 1/2 quick laps. It was incredibly short but man what an adrenaline rush! Riders were in a hurry to make up positions and I must say it made the racing fun to participate in and a good time spectating

If my memory serves correct, he is on a 1 year deal with a 1 year option that would be exercised if he won SX. Now, KTM may have restructured that option given he proved himself to be the fastest dude on the planet for the first half of the season, but who knows at this point. Eli owes the sport nothing, but it’s clear he can continue to compete for titles for at least another year and probably longer.

Haven't we been over this? He got Covid and then hurt himself. Hence the falling off. Dude will be back to winning races in no time. Speed still isn't his problem—staying healthy over the full course of a championship is. But then again, it has been a problem for Jett as well so. 🤷‍♂️ The speeds they're riding at these days it's just a matter of when they get hurt, not if.

There's a very specific biological reason. The 2-7 day window at high altitude is where you perform the worst. So, you either show up right before competing, or show up 2-3 weeks in advance to fully acclimate... Which we know they can't.

KTM didn't lose a ton? HMMM perhaps. But it's not the best way to treat a guy who won you TWO MX2 titles and TWO Supercross titles.

He looked good in qualifying today. I’d throw some cash at him winning a title in MXGP the next couple of years. I think any rider that spends a few years racing GP’s & a few years in the US has to end up an extremely well rounded prospect. The differing styles of racing , the variety of tracks plus the SX factor. I’d say he’s probably got the most cards in his deck out of all the current MXGP guys if you factor that all in.

Wow, some of you are so caught up in your Vitarded skirmishes, politics and lack of moto knowledge that you don’t accept or even consider facts. The word covid triggered you guys like a bunch of flat earthers seeing their first globe. As I said, Roger DeCoster and I were talking about the day and he mentioned that Eli has been battling Covid recently, which pretty much fits his results arc. He didn’t say that was the reason, but anyone with a brain knows having the flu does not help. Also, anyone with a brain knows that I would not...

Good post, lengthy but good. I sure hope we have more than a 1-2 dog fight toward the end as well. That seems to be the gist of the post and I agree. I’m personally rooting for Eli but I think Jett is the best I’ve ever watched race in person. Perfect season, no. Champ more than likely. I find it funny that guys with the attention span of a child feel like they need to comment and or give this thread a thumbs down. My opinion, if you can’t read through the entire post then you should probably refrain...

So every crash is the same then? That’s so idiotic. We’ve seen guys wreck their ACL by barely touching the ground with their foot in a turn, and then Chad Reed gets ejected like rocket man and get back on and finish. Just dumb
