Huge fan here but I think Daytona will be the last win of his career. Thankful I was there to see it. If the end of SX wasn't such a disaster and he was carrying the first 1/2 of season fire into the outdoors, I would almost bet he would get a win or two. I just don't think it happens now.
Of course I know anything can happen but I am saying this partially because I think he calls it a career after outdoors.
it’s fair to say Eli title days are pretty much ova but him not winning another main or 2 & a couple motos here & there 🤔 ehhhhh i ain’t buying tht type of fall of a cliff just yet
Let's hope not but I didn't see the fall off the cliff that happened after Daytona either. I would love nothing more than for him to be in his best form outdoors but IDK. I've never seen a collapse like we have witnessed these last 5-6 weeks from a multi time champ. Especially when the start of the season was so damn good. If he struggles outdoors, there's no way he comes back in 27.
Haven't we been over this? He got Covid and then hurt himself. Hence the falling off. Dude will be back to winning races in no time.
Speed still isn't his problem—staying healthy over the full course of a championship is. But then again, it has been a problem for Jett as well so. 🤷♂️
The speeds they're riding at these days it's just a matter of when they get hurt, not if.
urs & everybody else’s philosophy or analysis might be different than mines but remember how reedy was towards his last run 🤔 I don’t see tht outta Eli just yet , moving forward just looking into the up coming competition, on the right day Eli can still give the fans something to cheer for

Tomac 26 outdoor champ
No one thought Anaheim 2 in 2001 was McGrath's last win.
Still, times are different and I think it is difficult to predict how things go for Tomac if he decides to keep at it. I don't think he'll get a single win outdoors honestly. Last year was tough to watch. Expected fireworks all summer and really it was all downhill after Pala.
Maybe 1-2 wins indoors in 2027.
Rumor is Eli had Covid 1 month ago, took 30 days to recover.
Eye test tells me he had a nagging injury the entire time, then either made it worse or gave himself a new one with that last crash.
I'm not saying he wasn't sick... I just think that had very little to do with his continued struggles.
I imagine if he is somewhat healthy and has any thoughts of retirement, we will see him next weekend in Denver
I had it 3 yrs ago and it took me 1 month just to get back to probably 90-95%. I exercise almost every day too, and am not overweight.
He's got so much to lose now, it's a great life he's built for himself, and the youngsters coming up behind him are HUNGRY. I think he's won his last, but of course, I'd love to be wrong. A great racer once told me that each time you get injured, there in the back of your mind, you have yet another reason not to "send it." I think Eli's got a awful lot of those reasons now, and I think he knows that and so does his wife. He owes the sport, the stats, and the fans - alike - nothing. Helluva career. As a big DeCoster and Ian Harrison fan, I'm glad they finally got a chance to work with him.
My personal opinion is he may try to ride the outdoors but I bet he hangs it up for good before they start. Not sure what he has left to prove.
If my memory serves correct, he is on a 1 year deal with a 1 year option that would be exercised if he won SX. Now, KTM may have restructured that option given he proved himself to be the fastest dude on the planet for the first half of the season, but who knows at this point. Eli owes the sport nothing, but it’s clear he can continue to compete for titles for at least another year and probably longer.
