Here is a memory...It was either 83, 84 or 85 at High Point. A non qualifier 125 guy decided to suit up and wait in the back woods. He pulled out in front with the leaders (I think it was Lechien and maybe O'Mara) and ripped a lap. I don't believe he was caught, but hunted by the AMA for years.

So what are the thoughts here? We saw it blow when he landed form the triple, but the clip appears to be a few whoops in. Seems like the clip blowing out is a result of a larger failure...?

His dad isn’t the problem, not being fast enough/finishing races is the problem.

Without knowing more details….and nobody seems to want to ever give them….then my impression was always that with the quality of some very deserving riders that do not have factory rides, the quality of the bike Triumph has put out, and Evan’s lack of experience and consistency of results, that he was very lucky to get that ride. Did he blow it? Blame Triumph for him not lighting the SX/MX world on fire?… or did Triumph realize he wasn’t ready and they want/need their bike up front….or at least in the main? Until I hear details my guess is Triumph...

I raced mine for the first time last weekend. Quite enjoyed it. I've had (or raced) a 2021 YZ250FX, 2022 YZ250F and a 2023 YZ250FX before this. I only had 1 hour of break in on the bike before the race. So this was it's first real test. Stock bike minus ODI bars and an FMF slip on. Pros: Turns SO good. Reminiscent of my old Suzuki's. Huge improvement. I lowered the forks to flush for this sand track and the bike was fantastic. Suspension, as good as ever. I'm a 170lbs A rider and it felt good for me...

He will be missed. Hopefully he still stays involved in the sport. Glad my son and I got a picture with him this past weekend at Foxbourgh

Went from a toyhauler to an overhead camper and enclosed trailer. I couldn't find a trailer I liked so wound up going to Carson trailers in Beaumont and custom ordered one. They have lots of options. My list was, 7 X 10 with the wheel wells inside. 7 feet wide because it's a foot narrower than the camper for ease of towing, wheel wells inside to maximize space. I didn't want an 8 foot wide trailer that only has 7 feet of interior space. 6'8" overall height so it fits in the garage. Side doors on both sides. Easier to...

For what it's worth, here is my 5x10. I have had the 24' race trailers, but since we quit racing a few years ago I just wanted something small that didn't take up a lot of space. It is mainly used at out of town rides for a secure place to keep the bikes while in the hotel. I built the cabinet in the front and wired it for 120vac. I have 1 - 4' light at the front and a duplex at the back for fans etc. I also included heavy enough wiring to run my portable AC on...

I’d say it’s more important to stay healthy than it is to clear whatever jump is giving you the shakes. youre probably going good enough to still beat plenty of people, have a good time, and in control enough to do it again next week. find your risk/reward balance, and have fun there.

I’m my case I don’t rev my 250’s. I’m old and slow. My stuff lasts forever lol. I could see where a vet rider that still raced would prefer a 450, taken care of will make a lot of hours. It’s cost a more to race a 250 if racing a lot or at a high level. 250 YZ250F has good low end easy to ride. Same for 2022-24 Honda R, very similar to Yamaha.
