In my opinion much better than stock. Stock has a funny lag when getting on the gas. That's gone with the 4.1 I run it with the spark arrestor in it.

Best 450 I've ever owned. 4.1 slip on, 13-51 final gearing, and stock map. It's stable, turns good, and I can do longer Motos with out getting too tired! Perfect bike for 50+ Vet rider north of 230 pounds. I've ridden the new YZ 450 it's a beast! No thank you.

Best 450 I've ever owned. Like it way better than my 23 350. The KX is stable easy to ride and doesn't rip my arms off. Easy to do 20 + min motos even at 57 years old. 🏁

Just put the X-trigs on today, riding them tomorrow.

I can't remember if that's one I made or someone else's. I tried alot of different maps but actually ended up back at stock. Stock mapping, Ti6 exhaust, opened airbox, 51 tooth rear and good fuel and the thing runs sweet. Best 450 I've ever ridden. More than enough power to pull 3rd everywhere and not too aggressive for when the track gets rough.

Rode mine yesterday first time. Felt better than on my yz450f 24. Track was super rough. Better suspension. Engine felt a bit slow compared to the yzf, had to rew it more to go fast. Kx feels heavier. Was 1.5 sec faster on the kx.. did a little laptime battle. Today I removed the screens in the muffler and the bike sounds and feels snappier. Took me 1 minute to remove them both with a long wall drill. Also opened up the airbox and put a 51 sprocket on.

After installing a full PC exhaust, opening the airbox up, 51 tooth rear sprocket, I’m very happy with the bike. Ended up staying on the stock map, 50/50 110/93 mix, runs great. May add a vortex in the future.

Well I know guys who have just one bike and puts ton of wear on that one bike. Heck if you eventually do 2 top ends on one bike that is about $4,000. Right? About half the price of a bike in just top ends. That’s not including other wear parts. In the long run with 2 bikes I feel you can just about spend close to less of maintenance cost. Even less tires. And if one bike do break you always have a spare. if you are trying to become a pro racer you have a point on getting...
